Thank you so much for posting such a detailed video! Went to Alaska last month and followed your itinerary very closely and had an incredible trip. We would have never known about biking in denali and Valdez and the Columbia glacier trip were it not for your video, and those ended up being some of the highlights of our trip. Thanks once again!
That’s great to know, thank you for sharing Arqam! Glad to hear you enjoyed the experiences we shared, hopefully we’ll continue to be able to do the same with your support ☺️
If you are going to Alaska, you really need to pre-plan a trip to Deadhorse (Prudhoe Bay) departing from Fairbanks via the Dalton Hwy. There are several great guided tour companies that will take you. Adding to the fun & adventure take a 7-person plane back to Fairbanks at the end of your 3-day mini-adventure! Swim or wade in the Arctic Ocean! WHAT A BLAST!
Hello Anubhav, Your video helped me to plan my iterinary to Alaska.. I had so much fun and loved Alaska a lot.. thank you for this video.. your pro tips helped me a lot.. keep uploading more videos.. thanks again.. ❤
Thank you so much for your video, planning on a trip to AK, how did you get the bike to your hotel from the rental place in town? I think Bike is a great way to see Denali national park. thank you.
Thanks Daisy. The owner of the bike rental place provided car accessories to attach bikes to the car. They also provide some other accessories like first aid kit, etc.
Hey!! Really loved your video and narration! We are heading there in this summer. Just had a question, how did you create the road map animations? 😊 that seems really creative!
Going to alaska on august. Your video is helping tremendously for itinerary prep ❤️ Btw, where did you rent your car from? Cause it seems many of rental agencies don’t allow driving in gravel highways like denali highway.
Excellent video and some great tips!! I am planning a trip for Summer 2023, starting and ending in Whitehorse, Yukon. Can you advise how far in advance do I need to book for specific activities/lodges that you've mentioned in the video, like Full day kayak tour to Columbia Glacier, Kenai Fjords Tour, Denali Bus, Denali Flight Tour and Hatcher Pass Lodge?
I would say booking atleast 2 months in advance would work for most of the things listed. We had trouble booking the Denali bus for our dates, so maybe that one you should book as early as possible. Another one to book early would be accommodation at Hatcher Pass lodge. We did not stay there, and just went for a day trip.
Excellent video. Beautiful and scenic locations....very well captured, great Job...Great Narration too , very informative with some useful details. All the best and keep going. And if you don't mind please could you kindly share some suggestions/ideas from your perspective which could help improve my Channel ? Hope it is not too much of an ask
We visited last week of August and first week of September. Most things in Alaska close by mid-September, so just keep that in mind depending on the length of your trip. Hope you have a wonderful trip :)
I booked my trip last year and will go there in 5 weeks! Your driving route is too long from Denali to Valdez...instead I will go to Fairbank, North Pole and Delta Junction before I go to Valdez.
There are a couple of rentals in Alaska that allow driving on gravel roads like www.alaska4x4rentals.com/. For most rentals the damage waiver won't apply if taken on gravel road. "Traveling on unpaved roads is strictly at renter’s own risk. CDW does not cover vehicles off of paved roads". The Denali Highway was in decent shape when we drove on it, but ofcourse use your own descretion There are some helpful tripadvisor questions in this topic www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g60880-i350-k12581598-Alaska_dirt_gravel_road_car_rental_insurance-Anchorage_Alaska.html
We visited end of August and stayed till first week of September. Around mid september businesses start to close esp. around Denali. So time it based on activities you want to do.
Very nice video! i am planning a similar trip but with kids as well. what time of the year would you suggest to visit? and could you follow up with a video on budget and costs?
I would say June, July and August would be great for visiting Alaska. Best of luck for your trip and happy new year. Currently we don't plan have a plan for budget and cost video.
Honestly, we adjusted our dates based on car rental prices because it was making more of a difference than airfare. We used Avis but you can check budget and alamo as well. And if you have any corporate discounts make sure you use that.
Thanks for watching. Since prices and cost vary considerably based on the time of visit, how early booking was made and personal preferences of traveler (cheaper motel vs high end), they have not been included.
