Truly awesome. I was fortunate enough to have visited Moscow and St. Petersburg a few years ago..and really enjoyed it. Just as these fine pilots said, I too was so in awe that as an ex-Navy sailor, I was now standing on Kremlin ground. Too bad that the people have to suffer for the few greedy ones. Of course, the Blue Angels actually strapped on a Mig-29 back in 1990 at the air show in Kalamazoo, Michigan. They also flew Mig pilots in the 18 there as well.
I'm American and my wife is a naturalized US citizen from Russia and we live in the US. I could not agree with you more. Russia has some real potential but under Putin, its a failed states. In the book "Not One Inch" the author describes how during the collapse of the Soviet Union an informal proposal was discussed to admit Russia into NATO. Can you imagine?!
30 years on and this makes me smile ear to ear still. Maybe God will show His mercy and bring this back.
