No worries, thanks for dropping by and checking out the video. The band is from Manly Bands (funny name, I know). Mine's made of tungsten carbide (super hard and durable) and has rose gold hidden on the inside of the band for a classy touch. Happy hunting 🙌
Glad you enjoyed the video! The sling has a 2 liter volume, so it's great for smaller cameras like the Fujifilm Z100 or the Sony ZV1. You might be able to throw some crop sensor cameras with a pancake lens in there, but it would be impractical. Hope that helps!
Glad you enjoyed the video! Not too much padding in here specifically for a mirrorless camera, if padding is important to you, you're better off looking at something like the Peak Design 5L camera sling. You'll sacrifice the smaller form factor for more protection for your camera. Hope that helps!
Would you say the Ripstop material of the bag makes it extra shiny? I'm bouncing back and forth between this and the canvas. Heard the canvas attracts lint pretty easily but I like the dulled tone of it compared to the maybe shiny appearance of the Ripstop
I wouldn't say the ripstop material is shiny at all. I'd liken it to more of a satin finish. Nothing as shiny as PU leather or glossy like patent leather. It's still very much in the 'matte black' realm. Hope that helps!
Excellent video and info. It's just what I needed to make up my mind about this sling. I wonder if it could be used in addition to a full-size backpack as a fanny pack on the side? I go backpacking or paddling, filming my adventures as well. I recently purchased a gimbal for my phone as well as a Moment lens, and was looking for an easy way to have these things accessible while still carrying a full pack.
Thanks, glad you found the vid useful! The sling can definitely be worn as a fanny pack, the straps adjust a great deal to make sure it's secure no matter which configuration you wear it. I'd recommend the black ripstop version for more durability when you're wilding in the field 👍
@@RonKwok Thanks for your quick reply, Ron! The sling is already sitting in my Moment cart, ready for order (and yes, the ripstop version for sure). I guess now I can hit the "Order" button. :) Take care. + 1 Sub for great content. I'll check out some of your other videos for sure.
It's like a functional bellroy sling. I love my bellroy but the zipper placement ruins it but the looks so so good! If moment was on a Canadian site I would have gotten that!
Striking that balance between function and aesthetics is a tricky craft! If you're still in the market for a sling, Moment offers free ship worldwide on orders over $35, Canada included 👌 link's in the description for ya 👍
If the price would be in rupees than I would buy that 😂😂 Because I loved the bag ........ by the intended always enjoy to watch your videos ........ ❤❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for your support! I believe there's a sale going on right now for this redesigned along on the Moment website-product link is in the description 👌
I just want to say that YKK zippers are not all weatherproof. They have to be YKK Aquaguard zippers for that, and these don't look to be that. That means that water will ingress into that top zipper in a rainstorm.
Good catch, Benjamin! You're correct, the YKK zippers here are reverse coil zippers and are not Aquaguard. Moment integrated other measures to keep your gear safe like its rainproof construction, durable water repellent finishes, two layers of PU coating, and added durability in the Black Ripstop colorway. Sorry for the misinformation and thanks for contributing 👌
Right? They have the fold over the quick access pocket out front, would've been 10/10 to see it up top. I will say though that I've taken it in the rain and it's kept my EDC bone dry. This will depend on your local climate (I'm in CA and everything is mild here) but the overall water resistance is solid.
8-in DIAMETER?! No way lol I’ve never seen a water bottle with an 8 inch diameter before. The straps are designed for a compact tripod so something like a 16-24oz bottle will work
@@RonKwok it's been a great bag. Before buying that one I was using the nutsac mag satch 11. I found that bag a little to big for my daily edc. As for the aer sling it's holding what I need on my daily use. Normally I use 5.11 backpacks but for going around town I prefer a sling. Easier to get around with
Hey Ron, thanks for the review! Interested in buying one of these. Do you think it'll fit a Fuji x-t3 with a smaller lense? Something like the 18-55 kit or 35?
Hey Zachary, glad you liked the video! I haven't personally played with the X-T3, but I think it can definitely fit the body and the 18-55, but you probably need to take the lens off before stowing it. If you don't mind that extra step in your workflow then I'd say it's a primo sling to suit your needs. Hope that helps!!
@@RonKwok I wanted to give you an update. My fanny sling just arrived. It fits my X-T3 with the kit lens still attached. There's enough room for me to also carry my wallet and keys. I'm loving this bag!
@@zachdini how's the fit? Is it tight that it's quite difficult to stow your setup in an out? I have the X-T30 and 35 f1.4 or 23mm f2. I believe my setup is more compact so if it's fine for you, it would be the same for me as well.
@@josephisaiahcruz4290 you'll have plenty of room, especially with a prime. With the bag fully expanded, I can get my X-T3 with the kit lens attached in and out easily. I would bet that you'd have enough room to carry an extra prime.
Hey there! I haven't played around with the original sling, but the zippers on this updated sling are, in fact, YKK weather-sealed zippers. It was raining when I took the outdoor shots and everything stayed nice and dry. Hope this helps!
Hey G.S.R., thanks for swinging by the channel, I appreciate it 🙌 The cons really depend on what you intend to use the sling for, but generally I'd say the biggest cons are 1) the small size, and 2) its features are geared towards photography and users of their Moment lens. If you intend to carry a lot with you, the 2L capacity may not be suitable. Also, if you don't have any Moment lens, you would have to repurpose the features they provide that cater to those pieces of kit. For me this wasn't a dealbreaker, but it's good to know. As far as comparing with Aer slings, I haven't personally tested them, but their bags are also solid while coming in at a higher price point. Hope that helps!
@@RonKwok I just watched your other video awesome thanks. I keep a bag that's about 8.5×3×5.5, I then sometimes put that in a backpack if need other things but the bag is very empty. Do you know if this and other things can fit in there or a good alternative sling?
Thanks man! Sounds like you're usually packing light, so I would def recommend a sling. At this point, it's personal preferences, such as materials, the look and feel, and individual features. I think either this Moment Sling or the Aer City Sling would suit your needs nicely. Happy hunting 🙌
Glad you enjoyed the video! The hoodie is from Cuts Clothing, use this product link to get $25 off $100 purchase: rwrd.io/11dhxq5 I believe they got a Black Friday sale going on right now too. The hoodie fits very well on me, I'm 5'-9" and wear a size M 👌 happy hunting!
You say they've reduced the size to 2l, although on the moment website their comparison states '2019 and 2020 editions are the same size'. Who is right?
Hey Sam, great question and sorry for the confusion. I've asked Moment for clarification and the website is correct, 2019 and 2020 versions are the same volume at 2L. At some point during pre-production, the volumes were slated to be different, but the final production models are indeed the same volume. Hope this helps!
It stands for Moment TravelWear. Moment is the company, and Travelwear is their line of bags for every day, travel, weekend outings, etc. Hope that helps!
No padding unfortunately. The ripstop material is durable in and of itself, but no padding to protect the contents; but then again, any sling with decent padding wouldn't be this small, you'd be seeing like 5L+. Hope this helps!
Hey there, thanks for the question. I haven't personally tried to fit the Magic 2 Pro in there, but from the looks of it, it'll either be super tight or straight-up not fit (and that's not counting the controller). I'd suggest something more robust like the Pack Design 5L Camera Sling. Hope this helps!
Sorry Ron, too many actual good slings out there to even consider a lesser quality product from Moment. Plus their international return shipping costs are ridiculous for us Canadians. Would love to see you work with better companies.

@@RonKwok I keep seeing Alpaka come up a lot and they seem to be lagging slightly behind Aer and Peak Design but I could see their next line up pushing for a top spot. Would love to see you test out their new gear when its dropped!
