  • KNOW WHEN TO PUSH FOR POWER IN THE GOLF SWING! King Mu hits a smooth 8 iron 210 years in this swing here! TIGER WOODS by his own admission in the last press conference, is struggling to keep his speed without hurting himself and is running out of options since he cannot push off the right leg or strain his core because of his back; so what are his options? We have some great solutions for him and part of them involves the backswing he had at age 16! He can’t push off the right side and feels his core every time he pushes for speed; can he last? Let’s remember what got him into that bad accident; after his third discectomy and after his back fusion. I thought he would be ok after the fusion, but a 3rd discectomy is a big deal; it does not look very good. We want to be in denial because watching him with Justin Thomas at Riv was a real treat and showed how much we all miss him doing what he does.

      If you are enjoying the content, you should definitely get with our premium channel at www.wisdomingolfpremium.com and see the following videos:
      -weight shift with savy” will confirm and elaborate what we did here but then what golfers don’t realize is that the control they put in their swings is what stunts the weight shift and squat so we need to get a task to focus on to bring the good stuff out and stop thinking about the things we think are missing.
      So see “top 3 tasks”, then task update, then “kinetic chain facilitation series”
      Then see “lead hand release”, “trail hand release”, Release fine tuning”, snap release polish”,
      Then turbo charge the release with the legs! The brain can now coordinate the application of squat when it feels that gravity is releasing your arm anatomy! See “turbo charge lead hand release” and “turbo charge trail hand release” and the “throw the club” and “throwing series” and then all you need to do is put the ball in the way of this new action with “predict contact” and “the goldie locks series” and “target confirmation series” Enjoy!

    I like many can't relate to someone hitting 200 yard 8 irons, I need lessons for someone hitting 135 to 145 yard 8 irons

    • @golflessons

    This video might have saved my golf season. 2017 I couldn’t be beat. Won club member guest and a year long match play. Got my HCP in the single digits and had hoped to get it lower in 2018. My swing was over the top so I’d occasionally lose balls left and balls right so made the quest to work on my swing. In the process I lost my swing coach that I connected with and whom played a large role in my success. New guy at the club teaches something different like pulling thru the ball like DJ. Well, I turn 60 this year and my body doesn’t want to to that. Meanwhile, my HCP keeps going up. But in all fairness, I’ve only played partial seasons the past 3 years due to surgeries. In 2021 I played my best round ever with the only swing thought being where I wanted to throw the club. I shot even par on a vary hard course and missed 5 putts for a birdie. Then I was off the rest of the year for rotator cuff surgery. Never could find that magic last year and then I cut my season short for knee surgery. There have been times the past few years I could get the club to whip at the bottom of my swing by letting the club fall. Impact was amazing with great distance. Only to go to get a lesson and be told it sounded like timing and he proceeded to teach me otherwise. This year I decided NO LESSONS! It’s time I figure out how the body is supposed to work on my own because these lessons aren’t connecting with me. Allistar Davis channel has been super helpful in taking the club away correctly but he kind of teaches a pull thru the ball too. I found some great distance this year but something still wasn’t right. I deal with chronic back pain anyway and that swing doesn’t help with that. I’ve followed your channel for a few years and it’s been helpful about simplifying the swing with just throwing the club. But I couldn’t find that swing from 2 years ago until today. I decided to circle back around to your channel and found this video. The gravity of the club doesn’t work until the weight is shifted back to the lead foot. Went to the course today and hit like 5 balls on the range and went straight to the tee by myself for a practice round. Found it! Feel as though I’m barely swinging the club and have incredible ball striking and distance! Back didn’t hurt nearly as bad after todays round as it normally does. This is so much simpler than trying to pull the club thru. I’m thankful I figured out how to find it again thanks to your channel. And it’s early in the season. Hopefully, the body holds up for a full season and I can get back to single digit HCP. Have goals of winning a senior and super senior at one of my clubs. My game has been so far off the mark from the 2017 player in me. Maybe it’s still achievable again. Would love nothing more than to go back to men’s night being the A player again. Last few years have been defeating, mentally.

      Nice post JD! When the kinetic chain kicks in, it is impossible to stop and the way to engage it is through pure momentum; the 2 ennemies of the swing are manipulation and effort. Also, you want to consider an incredible new product for longevity called Katalyst, a technology that has existed for 6 decades now and that has been perfected to bring home in 2019. There is a great podcast below that will explain so much of how this works and where this came from in the late 60’s with a big fitness expert by the name of Ben Greenfield and the CEO of Katalyst which we met at the PGA show; he is a really nice guy with his heart in the right place where he gets really jacked up at helping people thrive!
      Here are the case studies:

    • @jacobmccain8082
      @jacobmccain8082 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All depends on spin. With 18+ launch your spin better be LOW to max out distance. But that's not exactly a recipe for consistency. I'd say 13-14 at ~2k spin is pretty close. Trackman has a chart somewhere online I'd check out. It says at 13 and 1968 you'd carry 223 so you're pretty close to max already.

      @golflessons  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The so-called X-factor that has single handedly ruined thousands of careers and snuffed out any hope of playing proper golf for thousands of amateurs happens in the downswing when the kinetic chain engages. TO ENGAGE THE KINETIC CHAIN PROPERLY, THE WHOLE BACKSWING NEEDS TO BE COMPLETELY RELAXED WITH 0.0 TENSION FROM LOWER TO UPPER BODY. We have proven this TIME AND AGAIN WITHOUT A SHREAD OF A DOUBT; with 2 golfers that went from 0 to top 50 in the world of long drive in 4 years of PLAYING

    • @golflessons
      @golflessons  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you have the idea! The plant the heel and turn to target is something that happens naturally when you have a task like “throw the club in the direction you want to start the ball” or whip grass clippings into the direction of flight.

    Why in the world did he start mucking about with his swing instead of riding the 1999-2001 swing all the way to 20+ majors?

    • @golflessons
      @golflessons  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Because that is the swing that hurt his back in the first place…His swing in 1997 was way better and he won by 12 then;
      And BTW, there would be no mucking about the swing as your anatomy is designed to do this in the first place; he had all this from ages 2 to 16! Same for Rory! All he had to do is continue to work on shot making and be aware of strain in the system; IMPOSSIBLE when your mind is filled with a hornet’s nest of body positions to fix and nip and tuck. Tiger’s will won all those events, his body breaking down because of trying to beat the swing into submission to mold to someone else’s version of geometry is the set of distractions that did him in. John Anselmo, his 2nd coach said it best: When I give Tiger a position to hit, he is mediocre at best but when I ask him to hit a specific shot, he is the best I ever saw. Same for Bubba btw, who was someone Tiger looked up to for a while when he was struggling as he was in awe of his freedom and I am sure was longing for this freedom himself!
