The engine position in the frame looks like it would be much easier to service, valve adjustments and spark plug changes.

My question is how this models exhaust system handle the heat? I guess BRP/Can am should do a better job than Chinas Segway Snarler 570 that came out in 2021 whit the engine flipped around, their exhaust melts and snaps in half due to heat, bad design and a cheap metal combo.( Yeah I know China, but so is CF Moto that some love so much. ) A all new design also means new problems, always, lets see if they live up to their words of less maintenance. I guess it is actually a 650cc engine tho but still, that's basically Honda's biggest motor!
I hate how they call it a 700 but the displacement is 650
Well, the 500 is also a 650 so isn't that worse? If they called them both 650, how would you tell them apart?
@@Dusdaddy i believe it has to do with rated hp.it's higher hp than other single cylinder machines.hard to sell class leading hp when you call it a 650,if you follow the way i'm drifting.
@@edwardcote1331 Exactly, it has nothing to do with the engine size. They all do it. The Grizz is a 686cc but called a 700.
@Dusdaddy yes I get that I know they always round up for cc size to the nearest round number but calling it a 700 make people believe it's 700cc I've seen countless videos already of people calling it a 700cc engine. It should have been 650 imo
@@Sawyer94..I know I get it but what is the alternative when they have two versions of the same cc engine? A 650 and a 650 Plus? People would understand that even less. And if the buyer is "mislead" by that, then should it be called a 4wd when it's only 3wd?
Old 650 hp 62hp
New 650hp 40hp-50hp
Old 650 weight 726 pounds
New 650 weight 858 pounds
Less horsepower and more weight? Looks like it'll be a lot cheaper in price? Hmm, is that the loss in performance worth it?
Cost of production is why they went with a single cylinder,
How much
oh yeah its a 650 called 700 and 500 makes sense 😆🙄
Robots haven't taken over manufacturing - yet. It,s still less expansive to assemble in Mexico than Austria. They could have reduced parts count further with less camshaft , but this sounds like the old BRP/BMW 650.
Because sadly, humans in other countries can be cheaper than robots.
Who makes the new engine
It’s a Rotax.
Really?
@@Icutmetal yes
@@BC_Hunter Why are you replying to me? I didn’t quote your post, did I?

I wonder what age demographic is still buying atvs in a world where sxs seem to be taking over I may be wrong. Seems like atv riders are more of the much younger group.
I'm 56 and I ride a Grizzly but I'm ordering one of these Can-Ams and passing the Grizz down to my son. I also have a Defender that I'll probably sell. I just don't ride it much.
i'm 56,just bought the 500 outlander.i'm tired of sitting around waiting for my Honda Pioneer to get fixed.it's constantly in the shop.been in the shop since january waiting on parts.so i will have an atv to ride trails from now on,the sxs is now a yard machine only.
@@Dusdaddy for us (at least where I ride) in south Florida it seems as the ones riding atvs are usually the younger crowds I have seen a few guys my age riding atvs still but most my age are riding sxs. But they all seem to admit some how that my bike which they almost always ask to ride,is a lot more fun…
@@edwardcote1331 Shitty deal about the Honda. Good luck on the 500! Although I never get hung up on brands, I just want something that runs well and has some features that are innovative.
I had to weight in. I think it really depends on where you ride. I'm 65 and still ride ATV's - they just are better for picking through the bush and swamp. Howard
this thing is way too heavy. a non dps 2023 yamaha kodiak 700 is 659 pounds wet weight ready to ride.
So heavy though..almost 900 pounds.. Yikes it's only a 650
since when is a 700cc machine considered mid size? thats a big bore boys. mid size is 350cc-500cc. anything larger than thats a big boy toy weather people like to admit it or not. especially since its a 700 single. i also noticed can am ditched the trailing arm rear suspension for dual a arm alot of can am loyal guys are not gonna like that.
It’s not a 700cc machine, c’mon now.
Gear links looks like a toy !
100 lbs. heavier than the Grizzly.
yeah that's like riding around with a 50 lb bag of sand on the front and back IMO
Looks like a knock off brand. Ug-lee.
I'll stick with my grizzly. 50hp also and will last. Can am are always in the shop or being towed off the trail.
Can am is crap.
