I am definitely feeling guilt right now!! But I’m still learning that grief and joy can co-exist and that it’s OK to take breaks when the “grief tsunamis” drag me underwater.❤ Loved this weeks video!

Thank you Emma!!! Take those breaks and please don't ever feel bad about feeling joy. We need to find those happy moments when we can. ❤️

Hi Brooke, thank you for this video. As always, so so helpful. I’m numb, exhausted and all out of tears at the moment. Have been like this for months now. Just filling my days up so I don’t have to think too much….. trying and coping as best I can. It’s been 21 months since we lost our beautiful precious daughter, Paris. Still can’t believe she’s gone and I’m surviving the worst thing ever in my life!! 😢 Love and hugs to you and all the bereaved parents who follow you xxxxx❤️💞❤️

Brook, I feel so alone. Nobody wants to be around my devastation and sorrow. CS Lewis said it best - it’s like all of us who have had loss should be on a desert island. No one wants to be around my sorrow. I have one friend who understands but other than that the phone ever rings, How are you coping with the loneliness?

Carole, what you're feeling is totally normal. I'm going to link some videos that might help. ❤️

Thank you Brooke. As one who is very well-acquainted with grief, you’ve really experienced the many feelings associated with it.
For me ..... I now feel like a muted version of myself. I feel subdued.
For context, we were a family that laughed a lot and we were known for it. Things are different now. Now with the losses, it seems as though no one else can get the sense of humor (the sense of seeing things in this life, the sense of style, the sense of perception, etc) that I once had and that I felt at home in as I now walk through the world without that beloved sense of “normalcy.”
It all feels so different now.😶
I must get used to this newness..

Thank you so much for sharing. I have a feeling that this will resonate with a lot of people... Feeling like a muted or a "shell" version of our former selves. 💔

Grief is up and down. Loss causes you to not be as motivated and just go through motions at times. Things just change and you adjust to a new normal...life changes immensely when your parents are gone.
