I'm super excited about this this "super group"! 😎 For me this is without a doubt one of the coolest songs that has been released for a while, I love absolutely everything about it! 🪦💚🦇 Thank you for your lovely reaction and interpretation. I totally agree that you can weild an emotional storm as a power to drive you forward and become stronger, and that finding like-minded and understanding friends helps you on your way. ⛈️💜🌙 The influences, styles, their passion and the imagery are the perfect combination to me! Nordic Gothic is what I've always been waiting for, and it makes my Goth heart happy! ❄️🖤🥲
My ardent Goth heart is in constant party mode ever since this melodic jewel of gloom and grandeur was released, and I can't wait for the upcoming debut album - because the "Violent Storm" has been blowing me away with a once-in-a-lifetime chorus and all the impeccable talent these guys bring to the band! The creation of this supergroup is a dream come true for anyone in the subculture, as no one expected them to rise from the darkness like the dead from their graves - and finally we have another current band worth worshipping, so we don't always need to go back to The Sisters of Mercy, Type O Negative or Fields of the Nephilim...🙏🪦🦇🥀🌙🖤 Coming from a subculture that is not really providing heavy riffs or harsh vocals, what I love about this the most is to see how all those metal legends are creating something that is worlds apart from metal, especially if we look at the verses and the bridge!🪦🦇🥀 This is EXACTLY the type of music that speaks from and to my soul in a transcendental and life-changing way many will never understand, and this is why I am so hyped for this Nordic supergroup with all their revitalizing gloom and danceable sorrow! Dear Kyle and Alanna, thank you for another in-depth reaction on another level, for capturing the full meaning of the lyrics and video with your words and for bringing some magic from the crypt down the rabbit hole together with me, I'm absolutely sure that the guys will not only blow the minds of those who are listening now but also blow up all over the world - as many dark souls are craving for this trance-like mélange of 80's and 90's even though Cemetery Skyline still manage to establish their own unique sound despite being influenced by all the Goth legends from past decades.🖤✨️ Of course I also love their "main bands" such as Amorphis, Insomnium or Sentenced, but THIS here is my lifeblood and the genre I'm the most passionate about - melancholia meets danceable allure, heaviness meets pop appeal in the best sense. And even if some metalheads don't find this heavy enough, I will always lose myself in synth enchantment and deep clean vocals! Speaking of vocals, what an insane voice does Mikael Stanne have??? Of course we know it from all his other projects, but I actually think he being part of Cemetery Skyline is a match made in heaven, just like all the other guys can explore musical territory which they usually don't get to delve into with their actual main bands. And to be open for new horizons and loving a sort of music that is so inherently different from what they usually create commands the utmost respect from me!🪦🦇🥀 I was reminiscing about The Sisters of Mercy in some parts and Sentenced in other parts when listening to "Violent Storm" for the first time - and yet still the infinite abilities of all the members shine through at all times, as they are always able to liberate themselves from a purely nostalgic view and implement very fresh ingredients throughout the whole composition! Hell yeah, I haven't been listening to anything else since yesterday and this once-in-a-lifetime chorus is definitely the best one in 2024 so far, haunting me at day and night like the immortal memories of wandering graveyards for decades of my life, which are also being evoked by the stunning imagery of the video. Those who share the feeling for the solace and the profound impact of graveyards will understand what I'm talking about, and "Violent Storm" captures this dark romanticism immaculately. Cemetery Skyline are the band I never knew I needed - but now as they are starting to bathe the world in gloom I feel like they've been part of my existence for aeons! What a mesmerizing start, what a bunch of supreme artists, and on top of that melodies that are bleeding and healing at the same time...🌒☥🌘
I love how you go with all these finnish bands, but there's one such a great band you have not reacted, and that's Sentenced where Vesa Ranta is best known from. I'm 100% sure you will love it! Waiting this to happen soon 🙂 Greetings from Finland!
This is a beautiful song and I like that they don't feature a female vocalist. The main riffs however remind me off Helloween - I Can and Gamma Ray - Send Me A Sign, but much darker.
Filmed in the Eastern cemetary (Östra kyrkogården) in Gothenburg. Great reaction and greetings from Gothenburg !
Beautiful location.
