The detailing at Topaz is underway! Before my Ford GT is ready to be unleashed to the roads, it's making the visit to Topaz to have Paint Protection Film installed. The first stages include the pre-detail wash and inspection before it's masked up and ready for the polishing to commence. We're getting close to being able to drive it now!
Shmee150 be carful when getting a carbon fiber car detailed because carbon panels don't decipate heat as well as metal panels which can damage the paint badly

I'd personally suggest leaving your Senna at McLaren until they can figure out the defect that happened to Alejandros Senna. Could be a one-off thing, but its better to be safe than sorry.
Honestly, there are recorded fires in *many* new supercars, but you just don't know about them because they don't happen to a famous TH-camr. While I feel desperate pain for Ale with this happening, as he said the most important thing is that nobody was hurt in the incident. At the end of the day, until there is an official statement from any party involved there is no room for comment from me but McLaren believe they have sold a product that's fit for purpose so I have no reason to suspect otherwise - afterall there are a further 200 on the roads already that are being driven on tracks without issue. It may transpire there is a recall down the line and so be it, but for now I will just keep ears on the ground for news but not do anything dramatic.

I don't know about anyone else but I was completely transfixed by the Brothers describing the specific areas on the GT that need additional protection. I could watch videos on just that.
It is always nice to see Nabil from Topaz, he likes to joke around but get serious when talking about paint correction and stuff. Also, Rupes and Scangrip are signs that the car is with experts.

@@jonaskodis2572 There are other less known detailers in the London area as well, aside from Topaz and NVN London. There is this place called Elite Car Detailing and Protection, which is really good though they do not have a youtube channel. EDP also has locations in Birmingham and even in Hong Kong. They do PPF and detailing and their detailing and PPF application is quite similar to Topaz. They even have a detail that goes on for over 240 hours. I think the reason Tim sticks with Topaz is because it was probably the first detailer he liked and wanted to stay with them. There are many other detailers in the London(such as Paul Dalton's Miracle Detail) area with just as good or even better services.
Well duh, as James said, that's where he has free reign over the design, I think even as stock owner he doesn't have much control over the design of the main working part of the garage, so he can't explain much about it other than what's used and how it'd look. Then of course he'd focus on the lounge, he trust the experienced people of the NVN would make better choices than himself.
Detailing videos always the best point to meticulously judge the colors of the car in detail, and I must say, that car and that paintwork. Is Beautiful, Tim. Congratz!!!

The finish from the factory is amazing on this car. I've seen stuff from Porsche that was a disaster from the factory. Kudos to the paint guys that did this car.

My brother worked for a Nascar team, the paint on a Nascar added about 12-15lbs. in liquid paint before wraps, vinyl wrapping now is about 9 lbs. PPF maybe 8-10lbs?

But I think they have hit the nail on the head with the GT. Your colours completely do it justice. Red & Gold are just perfect. Also agree to do just the brake calipers Gold. Funny because my two absolute favorite features/designs on cars right now is the Senna wing and pillars, and the Ford GT Buttresses. After that, it’s a lot of Pagani design elements but those two alone, I can’t get enough of.
Nice to know that the craftsmen/women in Markham , Ontario have taken enough pride in their work to get such a beautiful finish that it would be considered in Bugatti territory.

Forg GT looks amazing from every angle, it's so beautiful, but my favorite part has to be the back with those crazy good looking exhaust pipes and tail lights! Paint job quality looks fantastic, seams to me even the best of all the cars you detailed so far!
You definitely need the Akrapovic exhaust, the gold will match up great with both the gold stripes and the red paint. It also sounds really good which is a nice bonus :D
Nice video, great to see the different stages of a proper wash and detail. It would have been interesting to show whether Topaz use the two bucket method during the wash stage. By the way, that paint really does look amazing!

I think you are missing out Shmee ! I have owned sports cars (nothing like yours) such as Ford RS's and Mitsubishi Evo's since the 1990's and some of the best parts of the ownership has been me getting hands on with the cleaning and maintenance. There is nothing better than when you have spent a couple of days polishing and detailing your own car and then standing back and admiring the results. I really think you should have spent a few hours getting stuck in.Im sure if you had asked they would have gladly showed you how to use the polishing machine,even of it was using a very forgiving pad and polish and just doing one panel,trust me it is very rewarding. How about trying it out on the McLaren ? Would.make a very interesting and different video from your regular stuff.

The gold stripes looks great it is a far nicer color under the sun lamp than I realized and should be beautiful under the summer sun!😀
Don't forget that the entire body panels are carbon fibre, not just the exposed parts and then all is lacquered on top.

THE CIRCLE TV he does have a collection for every car he’s owned but he hasn’t done an update in a while though

Funny because my two absolute favorite features/designs on cars right now is the Senna wing and pillars, and the Ford GT Buttresses. After that, it’s a lot of Pagani design elements but those two alone, I can’t get enough of.
Nice to know that the craftsmen/women in Markham , Ontario have taken enough pride in their work to get such a beautiful finish that it would be considered in Bugatti territory.

Forg GT looks amazing from every angle, it's so beautiful, but my favorite part has to be the back with those crazy good looking exhaust pipes and tail lights! Paint job quality looks fantastic, seams to me even the best of all the cars you detailed so far!

You definitely need the Akrapovic exhaust, the gold will match up great with both the gold stripes and the red paint. It also sounds really good which is a nice bonus :D

I have owned sports cars (nothing like yours) such as Ford RS's and Mitsubishi Evo's since the 1990's and some of the best parts of the ownership has been me getting hands on with the cleaning and maintenance.
There is nothing better than when you have spent a couple of days polishing and detailing your own car and then standing back and admiring the results.
I really think you should have spent a few hours getting stuck in.Im sure if you had asked they would have gladly showed you how to use the polishing machine,even of it was using a very forgiving pad and polish and just doing one panel,trust me it is very rewarding.
How about trying it out on the McLaren ?
