@@milan2230 only smg transmissions have this that I know, in normal automatics or semiautomatics at least from europe they do not have, but i dont think they change them
Don't get it twisted...you bought the car for $5900 but you need to be prepared to spend the prices for parts, maintenance, and repairs as if its a $90k car because that's what this car caused new and the parts and labor reflect that. Most people think you can buy an older car and spend Toyota Corolla levels of money in maintenance because they got the car cheap. It doesn't work like that.
90k car will still have 90k car prices even if its work .5% of original msrp lol. I have to tell people this alot when they try and buy a used bmw or audi
Definitely transmission fluid is low! Also inspect for any leaks under the car as well when refilling the fluid. Change the pan and be sure to massage each gear once changing the trans fluid by three Mississippi’s per gear
Ive watched 3 of your videos, and it feels like weve been bros for years. Kudos for not having a half million dollar shop, factory sponsors and a team of mechanics. We are in this struggle together bros!
Hey there! bmw enthousiast here! So, as standard bmw fashion, transmission doesnt share the same ECU as engine, you will need to use a laptop with a dedicated OBD2 cable. I would advice to do all the usual stuff, oil change, brake fluid change, trans flush, plugs, coils, filters etc. and ofc the rods just to be sure ;)
I am a BMW mechanic and I know for a fact that engine is programmed to only last until 80k before the CPU throws off fault, after fault. It was designed to keep you repairing it. Consumers have no idea this happens, because car companies make the most money from selling parts, not the cars themselves.
Cars are sick when they run but you either need a fully equipped shop or a trust fund to keep it on the road. Manuals are amazing and much lower maintenance but you’ll get a period before you find one in decent shape
Thats either a shot o2 sensor or maf sensor i promise its one of those making it barely move its happened to me so many times and ive helped so many of my friends with the same issue
You really need a d can cable and ISTA/INPA to properly diagnose these cars… there is diagnostic and calibration programs specific to the s85 and s65 engines and the smg / dct
The squeeking is maybe one of the pulleys or most common on these s85 are the ac pulley kapoots. S85 engine mechanically one of the easiest to service. Except electrical
so the SMGII trans thats in this gen of M5/6 are absolutely garbage. Try getting a better scanner and seeing if theres fault codes for the TCU. Sometimes the SMG pumps go bad.
Engine fked, brakes fked, transmission is probably fked too, the engine and transmission definitely isn't synced 😭🙏 how are u gonna bring this back to life bro
I might be totally wrong so don’t quote me on it, but considering rat poop was found, it might be bad wiring to the gear shifter or possibly something electric that also engages the transmission.
Before even starting v10 what cost 5k. You take engine off, check pistons. And bearing. Then start fix them, and AFTER that, you change oils and stuff, and try start it... you probably make it A more expensive to fix, when you start it.🤦♂🤦♂
Ya’ll bought a shell with some electronics. In no world would someone sell you an m6 with a healthy v10 for a few thousand. You will be swapping an ls into this or sending it to the scrapyard.
Do not fool with this v10 it’s a problem I had one and it cost me 14,000 grand fixing it the time I had it no joke clutch and pump, sensors, differential spark plug core packs and other 💩 I can’t remember straight up crap but good TH-cam content to waste our time
I am a BMW mechanic and i know for a fact that there is a screw outside of the transmission that engages the neutral mechanicly, greetings from spain

Hola
@@casamiesmovil9427 I'm pretty sure Mercedes's also had or still has that as well.
no forw or rev? check trans for a screw on the drivers side that is used to put the car in neutral mechanically.
read your comments, there is some valuable info here
Sunglasses, clean as a whistle. Switch to Lenny looking like he’s been fighting for his life with the engine lmao
Ain’t no way you trying to fix a bmw yet alone a m6 with that entry level scanner
Bro when I saw that I Literally laughed out loud
Lmao 😂 the 70 dollar autozone scanner works for all entry level cars, not a car that was 100k brand new
Try flushing the transmission fluid, if it’s dirty or too low it can cause the transmission to not shift or engage properly

Alright yall better give us ATLEAST daily videos on thing 😡
😂😂😂
That thing runs on hopes and dreams
Lets guide them in the right direction, Trans fluid , smg pump and new smg clutch plates.
not lenny biting the rat poop 😭
Love this series. You should make your videos longer !
I agree

I thought the same :)

I found this channel a few days ago. Now i cant wait to see a new video about this car 😂

It could also be a solenoid issue, pretty easy fix!
It crazy this popped up and I just finished my “barn find” 2012 650i!! Great content keep up the content
10:25 I’m not the only one who forgets those after working for a long time 😂
I love this series, I hope we get this beamer looking and driving the best it can
Yeah. I've got a 6 too. Quite expensive on a daily basis in Europe... But it'll make my delight till I go...
noise likely your P/S fluid low or bad pump. check smg hydraulic fluid and top up if need be. run an adapation on the hydrualics and clutch
did he put cabin airfilters in for the engine airfilters?
Excellent content not too long nor too short
My 2009 did the same and it was the smg pump and throttle actuators. Like new

It’s good to see that you didn’t give up on it
Looking forward to the next update, great content, love from Portugal 🇵🇹
This car has an smg. Trust me its not the fluid.
I’d get that running and ready for the racetrack within a day.
Subbed for the series. That whining sort of sounded like how my power steering sounded when it was low in fluid in my N54
Check the pcv diaphragm for the squealing noise , and maybe vanos if it has it my n55 has the same problem multiple cylinder misfires and idling poor

No electrical grease on those coil packs is a bad idea with plastic...
Clutches prolly shot for the DCT
This has a single clutch automated manual. Not a DCT.
Missfires:
Sparkplugs
Coils
Ionic control modules
Idle Actuators
change the wheel sensors for the ABS prob
Omg at the end stop stop ! Hahahahahahahahaha
I used E63 M6 almost 7years one best car ever Like E39 M5... You review i cannot accept it...
DAMN, NOT GONNA LIE...NOW I WANT ONE 😂 FIXED UP OF COURSE 😁
"which cylinder is misfiring?"
"Yes"
Lenny u damn animal 😭Dude will do ANYTHING for the content
Amazing video looking forward to the next m6 vid
That loud noise is the power steering pump low on fluid or an idler pulley bearing is badly worn.
Buying the most complex BMW on a budget and trying to fix it is just a nightmare to happen....
compression test the cylinders too
Car sounds like it’s low on power steering fluid and transmission fluid
Engine fked, brakes fked, transmission is probably fked too, the engine and transmission definitely isn't synced 😭🙏 how are u gonna bring this back to life bro
These weren't the worst... Usually it's the driver. Aunt still has hers. Runs perfectly.. 🤷🏾♂️
i'm gonna get myself one of these or a c6 s6 one day..... poor mans v10!!!!! what comes cheap in money won't be cheap in time lol
You got to get ChrisFix on here
use bimmerlink instead of standard ob2 scanner
been watching for a few weeks now... best content ive seen in awhile
I woulda paid 800-1500$ lmao and prolly just LS swap it until I can get the factory shit right 🤣🤣

You changed the plugs but didn’t do an oil change on a msrp $80k bmw ….😢
dude you gotta make a trip to harbor freight and invest in some quality tools
The clutch needs replacing, and the slave cylinder will need recalibration. The end
Nothing is as expensive as a cheap bmw remember that guys
Clean vanos .
lol everyone saying tranny fluid is probably right but the bigger issue here is definitely the solenoids
Change the clutch 😊
rod bering and trothel actuawator che up too
They’re not fixing this shit😂😂
Why not do a leak down test on each cylinder?!🤣🤣🤣🤣
sounds low on fluid. check all the levels thats trans fluid could be evaporated lol
These guys are insanely funny
im no BMW mechanic but that thing may need an oil change😆
Is it me or did that car have e3 plugs in it?
idk how but 😂yall make me want a beamer even more
Big bingo vibes
Trans fluid or smg pump
You need BMW e39
Naw the i8 is the new coolest
i'm subbing... wanna see where this is going hahahah

The Fo6 6 series is better.
