Thanks for the update I was hoping you would drop this video 🎉
💪
Just got the Rog Ally. Nice video!!!
Nice Thts is a good buy! 💪
Back with another banger!
💪
Thank you for an excellent informative video.
I'm mostly sold on the Ally for form factor, lower weight and mature software exp.
But.. i got to hold and see the Go for that screen and see if I like it.
Hope the buttons on the Legion Go are better as the Ally's buttons, triggers felt really mushy, undefined and not nice to press.
To me it little bit better
I went for for the Legion Go. Got in love with the screen and the possibility of using a egpu with usb4. The bigger screen also let me play at my bed and, if needed I can place a keyboard and do some productivity... I come form a gaming Asus zephyrus g14 laptop (Wich I still have).
Nice!
I hope that future updates will also make the legion go perform better
It should
Bro NGL compared to Retro Game, ETA Prime, the Phaux etc I prefer your videos. Not only do you cover the techy software tweaks, but you cover certain key points that are HUGE deciding factors between devices like the feel of the joysticks. I appreciate your work. Subscribed all day long.
I appreciate it! Thanks for the love 🙏
After all the reviews I prefer the legion Go. One thing that I like are the joy cons because when I connect the legion go on a extern monitor and playing on a big screen I do not have to connect another controller I have one also when it loads I can play without caring a cable during playing (I know not everybody have this problem but for me that gets a point) I am everytime traveling and this is a good thing for long travel on train I also think this thing is the future. I have the steam deck LCD and this is a really good upgrade. First I wanna buy the rog ally but since I have seen the legion go I am in love with it for the same price I get so much more also a travel case which I have to buy separately for the rog ally. I have also a better screen (I say it another time for the same price) with 144 Hrz and it’s really a beast in gaming when I get hands on it this would be really nice
Think it’s the future too!!
I’ve been using my back buttons on my Go since it came out. Got it a week after it released and it was literally the first thing I did with it lol
How u use them ?
What did u do with it? U didn't say
nice so much info!!
Thanks for watching !!
why ur ally starts up so slow? mine is like 10 sec max
how do you get amd adrenaline to run mines give me some type of error?
Go the windows store see if its there for you to download
the windows bootup test isn't right. my Ally boot up with Armoury Crate screen loaded around 20 sec, with the stock nvme.
as an owner of rog ally I do love the bigger screen on legion go tho
Copy, maybe tht was just one time thing why mine took so long, never took so long before
Could this consoles be used to potentially study? XD I wanna play ofc but no one says if you can search on internet or use word, excel, onenote, etc.
Yes you can it’s full pc, with word, excel
@@JahsonENT thanks m8
How are the controllers holding up? any loose movemnt while hooked to the console? thnks
Nah it’s holding up good, still feel the same as day just got it
@@JahsonENTGreat thats good to know 😊🤙🏼
With me the boot for asus rog ally 12 seconds u have issue with your device
Oh word, been awhile since I optimize it maybe tht the issue
But what about them graphic settings tho? I guarantee you that you're gonna get more stutters on the Go than the Ally at higher graphic settings
both them on low setting
@@JahsonENT yeah at low settings you can run many games stutter free.. what I'm saying is if you raise graphical settings on both devices incrementally.. you're going to notice stutters first and more frequently on the Go. Test it for yourself
I love the ally but i am gonna buy the legion go and test it out since u have both what do you think is better? Whicg one runs better? More powerful etc
Both them equally powerful on paper, but as right now there is bug for 30wtts manual mode but then working on a fix, I like the Go better but mainly because of the massive screen
@@JahsonENT ahh okay , so the go isnt smoother at all?
@@loitersquadX The Legion Go has more compatibility issues because of the 16:10 aspect ration. The Legion Go can't play demanding game with good FPS on it's native resolution either and it doesn't have VRR like the Ally.
I just bought Legion go this week. Any tips to make this run smooth?
I have come from a console and need to get use to it otherwise I will be selling it.
The battery is draining fast and I need to know how to install and update drivers.
Also which are the best free pc games to download?
Wish somebody would just do a basic run through of best settings for beginners on handheld and pc gaming. Such as optimised performance and enjoying the experience of playing games!
I have videos on my channel for beginners and also videos about all features

Dude how to fix dead zone on rog ally
Go to setting , setting dead zone to 1
I like them both but i prefer my rog for fighting games like sf6 and mk1 but everything else I'm loving my legion go. I have to say i didn't love my rog at first but I'm coming around. I just don't like the bezel and screen size i wish they made just little bigger. But i have trip coming up soon and I'm going to take my rog
Sound good, yeah the bezel are kinda big
Hey dude nice review..I’m rocking my Ally..have a small issues but it serve my purpose..enjoying it..
What issue?
Thanks for the support!💪
Sometimes my rog ally just restart itself, lots of pop ups…at the moment I’m at 14 hrs of playing since I bought it works fine..
ROG:
Out of House Traveler
VRR
High End prop eGPU’s
Better Sound
Lighter / Easier in Hand
Lego:
In House Traveler
Bigger Screen w/wider color spectrum
Hall Effect joysticks
Taller Resolution (for 4:3 games)
Upcoming accessory suite
CAN output to third-party eGPU’s via USB 4 (think G1, OneXGPU)

Thanks for the support
I’m going with the legion Go sorry those bezels on the Ally bother me to much.
The bezels do take away from the immersion sometimes tho
Lenovo is better but I’m not upgrading my Steam Deck until the Steam Deck 2 and Switch 2.
Heard tht switch 2 ganna be 🔥
the Ally is even white like Freeza 😂
😂 with the purple light too!
the rog ally melting SD cards how is the lenovo
Haven’t heard any issue
Legion Go
Who has better performance
Both them have similar performance, but the Rog Ally has a smoother experience Right tho because it been out longer had more updates.
Legion go it s a beast but it s to much if the price was 100 euro less was a steal but a good hardware must have a good software soo ally win this
It is about same price as the ally, the ally just on sale right now. I agree on tht with software its just ganna take little time for software to get better with updates, when ally came out the saftware wasn’t up the par either
@JahsonENT yay someone who is not being bios to the ally high five
@@tectonicwave6881 lol both them equally good, just diff things for diff pple
@@JahsonENT yeah they both good devices just so many reviews seen are really bios to it some have been very fair tho, I find atm the legion performance is better then my ally and battery life to got 7+ hours on high on life and average of 4+ hours with new games
And love tablet mode or joycon mode very handy if you wanna just chill in bed or watch something on the go after a game or just at home
I have both and rog ally feeels much better than legion go problem with legion go is the software
Yeah they just need work on software
What's that boot time lol that's not right! Ally=Ferrari Lego=Pickup truck
😂 lol you think it’s rig?
It did take longer than usual tho
@@JahsonENT maybe it was after an update or something? It's usually much faster than that even from complete shutdown. There's so many variables with these handhelds that you should always do a second take on everything. But no I don't think it's rigged. Just not accurate for some reason. Gonna get the claw when it drops?
@@Droideka666 yup most definitely getting the claw can’t wait!
With such temperatures of 95 degrees, the asus rog ally will not live long, versus 78 on the Legion go, although they say that the legion go is noisier, but in terms of durability it will clearly live longer.
I have legion go...the noise îs acceptable
I didn’t have it on manual mode think Thts why it was running so hot, in my manual 30 wat my fan curves r higher so usually my temp is around about 72
@JahsonENT bit more of a far test tho auto vs auto
Wait till the controller starts falling off and wobbling 😂
@Droideka666 even if the little tabs that hold it break it still sits on the device pretty firmly and won't easily fall out, and the whole part that hold it is is pretty sturdy and solid
Rog ally is beautiful but they are pretty much the same performance
Yeah
These weren't really taken with the same settings. The Go was at 1200p, pretty substantial amount of extra pixels.
@@LividAardvark3911means more power consumption + it lacks VRR the legion. It's a massive deal breaker after you done some quick research what VRR really does.
@@VinnyUnion That's not even the point that I was making. I was just saying it's not apples to apples in the video and the Go was rendering a lot more pixels. So don't try to compare performance.
It's always the same response from every ROG Ally person. Even if no one was talking about VRR they will make sure to bring it up. Also I highly recommend researching it yourself. Since the entire Ally community attributes way too many things to it. I've had 3 VRR monitors the past decade. I'm well aware of how they work and it's not needed on a device like this.
@@LividAardvark3911 I have a steam deck -_-
dont buy the normal rog ally z1
Yup the extreme way better
The legion go fans have a high pitch noise. Big L.
Fans on either device don’t really bother me
Bro but the Lenovo device have a high pitch noise at 3300 rpm.
Legion go has windows 11 id rather have that and the bigger screen
Rog ally have windows as well!
Wait what? Rog Ally has Windows 11 and 3 months of PC Game Pass too, they both have it. What did you think Rog Ally has as the operating system?
3 × edge 😂😂😂 on Display
Have no idea what u trying to say
rog ally vrr is insane, legion is a pass this year
I do notice it too sometimes
Ally ftw, the ally has VRR, the Legion does not. Legion is heavier, more expensive, dumb back button placement, trash software from lenovo. Ally feels much better in the hands, and the performance is close to equal.
The software being improved.
@@JahsonENT jeah because that is really needed
The legion go is the exact same price as the ally 😑 it has a bigger battery a better screen a higher refresh rate and Lenovo has really been on it with the updates, they both have cons, the ally doesn’t have Hall effect sticks, has a smaller battery and before asus fixed the sd card reader on newer models it literally fried peoples sd cards, let’s not act like the ally is perfect it has issues as well, there is a lot of room for the legion go to improve and it gets better with each update also because the legion go has detachable joys cons better ones from third party companies can be made to fix the back button placement
@@CJTheTokay it is more expensive mate, has no VRR, yes a bigger screen.. but thats about it. No issues what so ever with the sd card. Plus you can use the warranty to get it fixed, no biggy.
@@hakaiyou4532 the ally and the legion go are both $699
Lenovo legion go it over better
No they are pretty much the same
@theo5675 the screen is one of the best 8.8
@@cs-ge5kxand the ally has one of the best 7 inch screens
@@fresco_dinero5155 Asus has a screen of poorer quality, this can be seen even in the video when compared. Pay attention to the color rendition of 2:36 Lenovo has a more pleasant picture.
Legion Go can connect to usb4 egpu’s… Asus doesn’t work with 3rd party egpu’s… correct?
