Since we all love the Daytona look, but Daytona's are not actually for sale, I like having options in this general style of watch. I can see myself adding the white dial version somewhere in the future. I am quite OK with the dimensions as well and think this is a great modern size. I just wished it had a ceramic bezel. I know the aluminium goes well with the retro look, but I would still prefer the crisp, shiny execution and clean look of a ceramic bezel even with this retro design.

Yes, Tudor has entered the Chrono game with a great contender!! Giving this watch some serious thought... Owning a Moonwatch and with the Daytona out of this world, Zenith and now Tudor are looking very very attractive!!

The reverse Panda is a hands down winner, it looks the chrono that the Daytona should’ve been. Put it this way, if I owned a mint Daytona I’d consider trading UP to the Tudor chrono and use huge price difference to top-up my favourite children’s charities 🙂

Excellent video Adrian. Went out and bought the reverse panda after watching this. Unfortunately they’re hard to get in Sydney so wasn’t available with bracelet, only leather strap. Love it. So happy with my purchase.

Just bought the black dial version. It is absolutely stunning. I do not care for the faux rivets but the rest of the watch to me is perfect. Traded a new Speedmaster Racing for it and there is no comparison there with Tudor as a superior chronograph. The black dial was my preference with it much more legible and I am generally not a fan of white dials except on the Explorer. Well done Tudor!

I’ve been closely considering the Speedmaster Racing white dial and just recently came across the black bay chrono. I’ve really been in love with the racing but would you mind sharing why you think the black bay chrono is so much better? Thanks in advance!
@JW For me, I perfered the Tudor over the 44.5 mm Omega Speedmaster Racing that I got on a trade because the larger case of the Speedmaster looked too large on my wrist. Also, I perfered the dial of the Tudor over the Omega. Same reason I sold my ceramic PO in 43mm. Beautiful watch great movement but it wore top heavy because the case was too thick. So I just have my Omega Peter Blake SMP bc that wears like a dream. So long story longer the Racing was just too large and that particular white dial layout with racing second hands didn't really appeal to me after owning it for a month.
The white panda dial is gorgeous. Would’ve been perfect if Tudor had sized it down to 39/40mm with 20mm lugs.

It's the 50mm lug to lug that breaks it for me.
NG Chronomaster meets your size requirements
That's impossible because the B01 movement is pretty large. It will not fit in a smaller case (at least not in a robust, waterproof watch). Breitlings using this movement are also 42 and 44mm.
I got mine (panda on 9/04/2021,.after a week wearing it, I am absolutely in love with it, my previous daily watch was a black 58, and I was on doubt with the thickness, but is allright in my 16,5 mm wrist. love the channel !!
Yes, Tudor really nailed it with these Chronos. Think I prefer the white dialled version but both look great. Interested to see their Taupe Silver BB58. The metal looks like it has this lovely bright glow to it.
Also think the 36mm Explorer1 & new Oyster Perpetuals are the classic sweet spot sizes.

Amazing reviews. If you had to choose between this in white or the Seamaster you own, which one you’d go for? I know they are different watches but I was going for the Seamaster as my first luxury watch and after this release I’m quite confused.

@@nspinicelli I went for the Seamaster. When I saw the Tudor in person, for me the quality didn’t compare. The Seamaster feels and looks more expensive, also more detailed
@@ZZeerroo8 Yeah I saw the tudor chrono yesterday, it would be the perfect watch if it were thinner (man it's thick), and if it had that 3rd sub-dial at the 6-oclock position.
I'm going back and forth between a sapphire sandwich Moonwatch, plus a rolex sub (coming Dec 2023) or changing to an Explorer II.
For a whole year I've loved the panda dial until today, I went to my local dealer and tried both on, the reverse panda looks so much better in person then the panda, the way the light reflects against the black dial and crystal is just miles better then the white face imo, and all this time I thought the white face was the one I was going to get!!!
So did you end up getting the reverse Panda?

I just purchased the black dial version and received delivery of it on my birthday 28/08/2021. When I opened the box it was "WOW", it's a beautiful looking watch with Rolex build quality. You're getting a lot of watch for your money. After pulling the trigger I remembered it's a 41mm watch and I was in a panic until delivery that it's going to be like wearing a dinner plate on my small wrists. It wears really well given its size on my wrists and I'm very happy with my purchase. This is a keeper and has a permanent place in my collection.

Picked mine up yesterday! A black one! I see Adrian’s point on the white, but felt in person it was hard to read. I think the green bark and jack strap on the black baytona will go swimmingly!

Watches to me are 10000% about looks. It is a piece of jewelry that should make me feel good. I happen to love the "vintage watch look" and I love the faux rivet bracelets from Tudor. To each his own. 🙂

I’ve just picked a new one up today on the leather strap. Reverse panda. Ordered the braclet as well but on the leather it looks amazing. A great addition to my BB58 blue. The red 200m text adds a nice visual contrast. Happy chappy.

Nobody I’ve seen/read/heard likes the faux rivets. They cheapen the whole experience. Can’t understand why Tudor persist. Surely I’m not the only one who won’t buy because of them. Pelagos manages nicely without them.

So the question is Adrian do I collect my new BB58 925 today, as it is now in the AD for collection and paid for, or do I wait a few weeks for one of these new Chrono watches. I really don't know what to do.
Love it - tried both on over the weekend and the white dial just pips it for me - sits well on the wrist, beautifully finished and a great value.

I agree, too big on the sides and that's why im selling my BB burgandy dial. I did get a BB58 and love it, best fitting whatch next to Explorer. You would think the side would get slimmer, use the 58 movement. Im on a wishlist for the T Panda and will see how it looks in person.

They can’t. The watches will very quickly end up looking like having oyster cases. Their leeway is only on thickness and bevelling.
Tudor is outdoing Rolex in most things. In my opinion it is now hard to tell who the “little brother” is. I wish Tudor would hurry up and reintroduce the long awaited Tudor sub.

Personally when I had the screw in chronos I just left them open. I'm much more likely to time things than get the watch wet. Especially since the screw down doesn't increase wr, it merely prevents accidental clicks. I will screw them in for a swim or something, but I can screw the buttons in at that time.

A great review Adrian. Only the other day I was having cursory glance at the BB Chrono. With the recent news I'm pleased it was just that. I'll take a look when they become available, assuming they become available enough to see them in the flesh for a while that is. Terrific info on the B&J art of making perfect coffee.

Great Video Adrian, Nearly bought the new Speedy but decided to see what releases were coming from Tudor so glad I did got my name down for the Panda Chrono and the new silver 58.
