Pigeon shooting legend Geoff Garrod is back, but this week he's not getting behind the hide. It's February and that's prime time to shoot pigeons at the roost. So he stokes up his Browning Maxus and looks to the treetops… but those treetops are very high indeed, and it'll take some supreme shooting from Geoff to build a bag.
Great to see Geoff on The Shooting Show again. Great footage of some superb shooting and touretts!
To say, 'good shooting' would be an understatement,...I like watching how well trained his dogs are too.
Thanks Geoff a great show and if ever there was proof of the need for a good dog this was it excellent example of true country sportsmanship. Ill be out this weekend I hope with storm Freya blowing a good one! cheers and keep up the good work pal.
I tried this in Devon in February in high winds. So much fun but most shots were on the limits of range though a few came near. I am convinced you need a double trigger gun with multichokes - front trigger for full and rear for 1/4 or 1/2. I used my triple barrel 20g but will try my side-by-side next time - am getting it choked!
Great bit of shooting there lads
Another great video.
Very nice bag if Woodies there Geoff.
Which choke your are using sir?
on the 21st feb we saw an estimated 900+ on the rape, we shot it on Sunday 24th, 3 guns and 6 hours later we had seen less than 200 with only 40 shot... guess they'd eaten everything on the 21st, nice to see some through-the-trees woodland shots, more please.
Love the vids
no more roost shooting under the new licenses sadly :/
😉👍🏻
No seatbelt?
I love this life too
but im chinese
And chinese gov contrl gun
So ......
Why are you shooting here Geoff....cos this is where I built a hide.....
First
Why bother even saying this,..you have the rest of us thinking, ' who really cares who's first'. If you had something to comment on about this video,..it may be interesting,...being 'first'
means nothing much at all, really.
