Invaluable insight. If I had this kind of tuition in the 70's the journey to a level of competence would could have been much shorter 😊New shooters are very lucky to have the likes of yourself,Mark Winser and others lighting the way to enjoy days out in the field as opposed to having a nightmare and not being able to correct it.👍
Was very impressed with your "Smokin Targets" series on FSC ! This is new for you, just shows the difference even a Pheasant has a brain and can cause you problems!😉
This was a great video because we can see the issues regarding footwork in the field. It's too easy to 'plant' your feet when birds are coming and to get off-centered shots as a result. The 'unsure' footing in the one sequence is a reality of bird hunting, and examining the area where you are standing before 'every' shot is a must, as he shows in this video. You can't use the same techniques in every situation, which is why game shooting is a different sport from clays where the variables of footing and bird flight are set.
Getting my feet stuck was my number 1 reason for missing when the rain came in December and January. Trying to move quickly in wellies with 7lbs of mud on each foot does not make for good shooting. It was great to see Ben setting up for the probable line of flight and then adjusting to the change of line of the bird and still making the shot. Thanks for this video.
Ben love your series on u tube. But in the states tower or driven bird shoots leave out the best part of bird hunting. It's the dog work be it pointing or flushing dogs. Plus it's great exercise for us older types. Keep up the great videos. .
nice film love the peg number cards with the next peg number/rotation on any idea who makes them would be great on new syndicate I've taken a gun on. they have always got confused on there pegs over the last six years I've been beating there🤣
I really enjoyed this video, thank you for sharing! The tuition and shooting was brilliant! The only negative I have is that you are closing your gun pointing chest height straight In front of you, every time you close the gun your barrels are not to the ground our in the opposite direction of the beaters, you're not setting a very good example for young Thomas, no matter how much confidence you have in your gun or yourself NOT to go wrong, sometimes things happen.

I also know who’s in front of me so I disagree with the comment. Where I’m closing is the safest
