This is great content for learners. I liked it when we could also hear the other people talking a bit too, and hearing how less standard accents sound. Thank you for your hard work making these videos. 加油!
我住在这附近 = "I live around here" 我在这附近住了三年了 = "I've lived around here for three years" The interesting thing about 住 is that the location (在…) usually follows. But when a time-duration (such as 三年) is used, then the location precedes 住. Now, wasn't that interesting ? 🙂
It is wonderful to understand spoken Chinese! When I don't know a word, the sub-titles let me look up its meaning super-fast. Walking around and talking about the things around you is very helpful. It makes your speech easier to understand than just speaking to the camera.
I was the one who left a comment in the last video asking for downloadable subtitles, and I noticed now in this video it's there! Thank you so much teacher. This also makes it easier to upload the pdf to chatgpt so it can help me practise.
@@chinesewithchristine1876 Thank you for doing this!! These CI videos help me learn, but if I use ChatGPT to create special vocab and questions, I'll learn better. Thank you!
These are great and really authentic. Slightly in love as well. I'm going to teach English in Hangzhou soon, so I'm planning to create some of these types of videos for my students.
I’m glad that it’s helpful for you 😊 and I’m so happy that my video inspired you to help others with English! And thank you for teaching people English in Hangzhou!😊
I started learning Mandarin this year and I find your video very helpful for me. I enjoy the different conversation that you present in your channel. Thanks you for the hard work, it’s very appreciated. 👍
如果你有看前期的视频的话 I like this use of 有看 for "have seen" because it exactly parallels the English wording. But it's unusual, because usually 了 or 过 is used to mark the past tense (not 有). I have only seen 有 used with 看, but I suppose it could be used with other verbs as well. It's rare. Interestingly, 没有+verb is very standard.
I am carefully learning this dialogue. So far the first minute is so beautiful. The imagery of your face reflecting the pattern of the leaves is wonderful. 谢谢你Christine老师!
This is very good for sentence construction thanks~ I had a brush with a just as good translator, Immersive Translate, don't know if anyone here has tried it yet, it has a very good grasp of nuances. Totally recommend for learners
Love so much this channel. Easy for me to learn and understand chinese. Thank you Laoshi. Laoshi hopefully u may post topic on how to maintain business when we open a few branch and how to pull the crowd of customer or new leads to come to the shop in mandarin chinese. Thank you laoshi.
Christine, its summer time. Please show us some of chinese beaches where people relax in summer or go on vacation. China has a huge shoreline, there must be a place like that there❤
So, whoever thought this channel up (I'm hoping it's Christine) has done a great job. The color coding on the text in both chinese and english is excellent, shout out to the editor. TH-cam features interfere with the text making it a struggle to see everything, so I download the videos. Christine should take us to the movies. What I mean by that, you should start a second channel and criticize movies, but don't get in trouble with the government. Since your target is a western audience learning chinese you keep it on that track, Critical drinker and Nerdrotic are good channels to base a formula on, as they mock the movies they believe are bad and praise those that are good. The good ones are few and far between in their opinion, you of course may have another opinion, which will offer so many interesting phrases to learn. Thanks.
Yea It’s I who edit the videos coz I wanna make it easy and informative for you guys mandarin learners. Oh you gave some really good ideas about the content I can create and you are right that those critical TH-camrs get to have lots of views. I’ll think about it but maybe I am not as strong as them to handle so many bad comments by creating the critical content. Thank you so much for the precious ideas! 😊
@@chinesewithchristine1876 Ya, if you get into movie criticism, you are bound to get a lot of negative feed back. This is where you laugh to yourself, and ignore the comment, you develop a thicker face. But also, if you keep it on the same learning track, where your commentary is in Chinese with all the subtitles for learning, it should screen out a lot of the negativity. You might get some of the Chinese audience too, though I'd heard that youtube isn't allowed in China. Have you seen this guy, his format is excellent, the delivery is fast and he keeps everything under 5 minutes, and his videos bring in a lot of views, many in the millions. th-cam.com/video/aHAoGrjFJNU/w-d-xo.html
Shenzhen is more of a new city, there are more skyscrapers even greenery in Shenzhen. And many young people here coz there are many chances in Shenzhen city. And Guangzhou is more of a cultural city coz it’s very old, so the buildings and roads are old. And more old people in Guangzhou. I’ll film some videos in Guangzhou some day 😊
Nice for listening and learning. However, I find more and more teachers in China are pronouncing 觉得 juéde as jue2de2. Please confirm if the de has a neutral sound or a second tone.
Looks like I won't get to see the Hutong. The glittery dress makes you reach 12/10 scale. My brains problem is I got addicted to learning from you, not sure if there's a solution to that 😅
Thank you for reminding me! The hutong one is still under editing, I filmed some videos of that when I was in Beijing but I need to edit it well first if there are enough materials 😊. So keep watching my videos to learn Chinese ☺️
It's interesting. Each time she smiles and walk, I feel more confident about learning chinese?
