I don't know how healthy it is, but I'm slowly tinkering with AI to bring back my late father. I don't know how far I'll get, and it probably isn't healthy, but I miss him so much.

I don't know whether you've heard about Ray Kurzweil, but he is a computer scientist and futurist who lost his dad early in his life. He has collected everything he can about his dad and believes he will be able to recreate him. I believe that dream is the main driving force behind his work in AI.

I cannot wait to get my hands on the upgraded ChatGPT and Dall-e 3, I signed up almost a week ago to their waiting list and still waiting, but I recently heard a rumour about how they won't be accepting any new sign ups now.. but that just sounds strange, do you know anything about this or have an idea of how long they may take? Also actually a question.. you mention some of the GPT's having a privacy feature, does that also hide your dall-e images created in the GPT? as dall-e doesnt have a stealth mode like midjourney for example.
but doesn't Dall e have trouble if you ask it to make the same characters when it draws?

Yes, you can set your store to the USA, but Etsy will still be paying you in NZD into your bank account.

The big question is, do these custom bots require you to enroll/subcribe to ChatGPT 4?
You need ChatGPT 4 to make your own bot, but I am unsure if it is required to use and access all of them. My guess is is that yes you would need access to ChatGPT 4. But you can give it a go!

Let's wait and see what was it all about. I honestly am tired of those videos with speculation that within an hour are proven wrong. Let's just wait and see. But it doesn't look good for anyone other then, now, reunited openAI team. Hope they don't sacrifice safety over profit.

Internal Silicon Valley politics. He angered someone on the board by not telling them everything he was doing. Boards sometimes forget they are supposed to be advisors, and yes they have long-term responsibilities but they aren't running the company. Sometimes board members feel they are the boss. What I heard was a bunch of talented engineers were also quitting in protest so they had to hire him back (with a big nudge from MSFT who has $13 Billion invested and didn't want to see the company implode).
I think that those 4 thought they were going to coup their way to the top. They didn’t factor in half the company threatening to leave with him lol.
The board members sounded to me like they were extremely out of touch with reality. I understand their motivations (even if I disagree with them) but the fact that they clearly didn't understand what would happen if they did oust him in the insanely abrupt way that they did, blows my mind.
But isn't Amazon not accepting books that are written with GTP or any AI and now I've heard that they're going to try and stop illustrations done by AI even if they're coloring books. Just curious what have you heard?
You can take a book that ChatGPT writes to be your draft and modify it. It still saves enormous amounts of time. In terms of coloring books, there is no way for them to know that an AI art program made it, but I actually wasn't actually thinking of Amazon for that hustle, I was thinking of Etsy 🙏

I have a question. I follow a lot of different artists online. Most of which have said/infrenced that im not a "real artist" because I wanted to tryout ai image generation. They say it is stealing from other artists to create the images. Now I feel horrible that im even interested in anything ai related. I don't want to steal from them. But how am i supposed to know if any of these programs are ethical/ok to use. Idk where they pull their data from. Idk how they are legal if that is really what is going on. I feel torn because yea id love to participate in this new technology but not at the expense of other people. On one hand its just a tool, But at what cost. But at the same time I'm not making any money from any "original art" that I've made. Like I see an opportunity for making awesome pictures and other things that might actually sell, but i feel hated for admitting that I want to use it/try it out. Im wrong for being curious and taking advantage of an awesome opportunity. I can't help but feel conflicted about all this. And meanwhile I stay broke because I'm "not allowed" to participate. Damned if i do, dammed if i dont.
Those people are just modern-day Luddites who are afraid of new technology replacing them. Just like the Luddites of old who went around smashing machines like the printing press. At the end of the day, the technology is here and it's not going anywhere. Might as well be one of the people who embrace it and adapt to it sooner rather than later. As eventually everyone will have to - those artists included..
"There is nothing new under the sun" is a saying for a reason. AI doesn't "steal" anyone's work. Writers have the same issue. AI reads blogs, articles, newspapers, etc. from all over the internet to generate a new post or article. How many times have you seen movies or books with the words "inspired by" in them? Same thing. How do you think places like Walmart and Alibaba can sell framed reproductions of famous artwork? AI is just the next generation of what's been going on forever and a day.
Don’t listen to them. You can do whatever you want. Some AI may be stealing artwork, but some is not. I am an artist, and I love playing in the AI art generators. They give me ideas. Now, I wouldn’t put a straight generated piece of artwork up, without adding a human touch to it, because it looks lifeless and soulless to me. So, do what YOU want to do, and instead of just uploading what the AI made, add to it, or subtract from it, to make it your own. I do believe some of the artists have a legitimate argument, but some are just mad because no one wants to buy their own original artwork. The best thing you can do is stop allowing negativity into your life. Get away from those people, and find positive people. If their artwork is so great, it would sell itself, so many of them are just angry. Get out of those chat groups and start doing what you want to do. There are so many people who have had a positive experience with AI artwork, and watch them instead.

Too bad the youtube summarizer requires the ChatGPT Plus plan and I'd have to be put on a waitlist before I can upgrade to it
I'd hop on the waitlist ASAP. The sooner you get on it, the sooner you get access to it. It's honestly the biggest bargain of the century. I now use it for tasks that I previously would have had to pay hundreds of dollars for at least, per project, per VA I would have had to hire.
@@WholesaleTed I was able to get the ChatGPT Plus plan, but it seems like it can't really handle summarizing streams that are over an hour long. But that's okay though, I can probably just download them and reupload parts of it as unlisted videos onto youtube lol
