In every Broadway fandom, there are people you find in every comment section of every video relating to the fandom. I have a feeling that for DEH that's probably us. Lol.

    I'll never be
    A knight in armor
    With a sword in hand,
    Or a Kamikaze fighter;
    Don't count on me
    To storm the barricades
    And take a stand,
    Or hold my ground;
    You'll never see
    Any scars or wounds-
    I don't walk on coals,
    I won't walk on water:
    I am no prince,
    I am no saint,
I am not anyone's wildest dream,
    But I can stand behind
And be someone to fall back on.
    Some comedy -
    You're bruised and beaten down
    And I'm the one
    Who's looking for a favor.
    Still, honestly,
    You don't believe me
    But the things I have
    Are the things you need.
    You look at me
    Like I don't make sense,
    Like a waste of time,
Like it serves no purpose -
    I am no prince,
    I am no saint,
And if that's what you believe you need,
    You're wrong - you don't need much,
You need someone to fall back on...
    And I'll be that:
    I'll take your side.
    If I'm the only one,
    I'm used to that.
    I've been alone,
    I'd rather be
    The half of us,
    The least of you,
    The best of me.
    And I will be
    Your prince,
    I'll be your saint,
I will go crashing through fences
In your name. I will, I swear -
I'll be someone to fall back on!
I'll be the one who waits,
And for as long as you'll let me,
I will be the one you need.
I'll be someone to fall back on:
    Your prince,
    Your saint,
The one you believe you need
    I'll be - I'll be
    Someone to fall back on.

His voice sounds tired, a bit flat in some areas... but he's still the best singer I know and a billion times better than me, also I love him

This song wasn't his best, but he made the effort and the audience was grateful. Ben wasn't feeling great... and he'd flown to NYC for just one day from a movie set in Georgia.

Yes his voice broke and ran off a few times and yet he's still 300x a better singer than most people 😂

Is it just me or did he seem to be rushing it a bit? I mean, no hate he was probably doing 8 shows a week when this was recorded and still is a better singer than practically everybody on the planet but it seemed a little . . . fast.

If you know this song, he completely ruined it, it is rushed and it doesn’t fit the piano, yea sure he’s an okay singer, but he couldn’t make our highschools concert choir...

He is such a narcissist! And a poor performer.

No he isn't... Did you see the recent musical he's starring in?

    • @mehmehmeh6130
      @mehmehmeh6130 7 ปีที่แล้ว +17

Tihg Ger he has confidence in his skill.. That's pretty different from narcissism... I think his voice was really tired when he performed this song

Tihg Ger, I don't know where you're getting that from, or if you're just saying that to get a reaction....but not nice, man. Not nice.

I've seen you comment this exact same thing on many Ben Platt videos and I'm sorry but it just comes across as really petty and mean-spirited and jealous. I honestly feel bad for you because I suspect that you must be pretty unhappy in your life to feel the need to dish out such negativity unnecessarily. And it's possible that you are just as hard on yourself as you are on others. But it's all too easy to sit back and judge people who dare to put themselves out there and follow their passion in life. And as someone mentioned above, confidence isn't the same as narcissism. Ben Platt seems confident and also very humble. And he is an excellent performer but he is also human so he's not perfect, and that's okay. I'd really like to live in a world where people lift each other up rather than tearing each other down. Wouldn't you?
