This is how I drifted apart from my family/friends. I thought they were ignoring me or did not care about me anymore when in reality, it’s not about just me at all. We all get busy and get so caught up in life sometimes that we become unable to check on friends/family as much as we want to. It does not mean we don’t care. Sadly, though, I sometimes take things too personally and make it all about me and then I respond corresponding and also start “not caring” - always making a case against someone during their absence and judging them to be guilty unless proven innocent and not the other way around. I created a false scenario in my head and made it my reality and it cost me.
Communicate your feelings/worries/thoughts, folks. Do NOT assume someone knows how you’re feeling or what you’re thinking. Just because it’s obvious to you, it does not mean it’s obvious to others.
Stop shading on insta. Reach out. Don’t fall into the “if they cared, they’d reach out” trap. Confirm directly. Be transparent. Learn how to communicate, y’all. Your partner/family/friends are NOT mind readers.
