WHAT TO DO IN BAÑOS + WHAT DOES IT COST? // ECUADOR TRAVEL VLOG

- There are so many activities to choose from in Ecuador's adventure capital, Banos de Agua Santa! In this video we bike to Pailon del Diagblo, visit a high wire park called Banos Parque Aventura, rent a Jeep to drive up to Casa del Arbol (the swing at the end of the world) and cap off our visit to Banos with a trip up to Las Manos de Dios for some epic views of
Tungurahua Volcano. Throughout the video with share the cost of everything so you can see how much money you can expect to spend on your trip to Banos!
We had a hard time deciding what to do in Banos de Agua Santa because there are so many great options! The one thing we knew we had to do was rent some bikes and ride them all the way to Pailon del Diablo to check out this epic waterfall. What we did not expect was the near-army crawl we had to do to get up close to the waterfall! That turned out to be good practice for the high-wire circuit we attempted afterwards, which we couldn't pass up for the price tag of only $20. This adult-sized jungle gym ended with a zipline and turned out to be way more fun than we expected. You can find the company at: parqueaventurasanmartin.negoc...
The next day we rented a set of wheels so we could drive ourselves to a few cool spots near town. The first was Luna Volcan where we got our first glimpse of Banos from above before heading higher up the hill to Casa del Arbol. Unfortunately, Nicole ended up getting super sick here and never got to swing at the end of the world, but her bestie Kayla stepped in and tried the swing as besties do :)
The last activity we wanted to try before leaving Banos was taking a chiba (party bus) up to Las Manos del Dios (the Hands of God). We stumbled upon a random party when we first entered the site and joined the crowd before finally checking out the Hands of God and catching our final views of Tungurahua Volcano.

He also said:
The part where she points to them she says hey let’s go there with happiness and something else that gets muffled as there are other sounds happening at the same time
It would be more like hey you guys there let’s go! With happiness let’s go as she is inviting them to participate sort of thing.

Wow what a great translation we had no idea! We saw them pointing and looking our way so I assumed it was something about us haha it looked very genuine and sincere so we were so curious. Honestly if we had more time we would have loved to stay for the party. The people looked like they were just having a great time and there was even free cake and wine 😋 thanks for letting us know! We are just loving south america and have found all the people to be so friendly 😄
That waterfall rock climbing looks incredible!! Nothing like climbing stares hunched over between rocks 😂

It was actually so much more fun (and scary) than we expected! We thought it might be kind of gimmicky, but we ended up having a blast. Would definitely do it again for the price!

No need for a guide! You can book all these activities separately. We stayed at Hostal D'Mathias and really enjoyed it there. Good location too.
Hi, currently planning a trip here! Did you guys book all these activities in baños prior to your arrival or did you sign up the day of?
We booked everything while we were there pretty much the day before. The bike rental was easy to get on the same day though. And the ride up the mountain was something we literally walked past and hopped on haha 😄 enjoy!

What's the best way to get to Banos?
Depends where you are coming from, but assuming you are already in Ecuador we would say the bus? We took a bus (we used the company called Baños) from Lago Agrio to Baños, and when we left Baños we took a but to Puerto Lopez. They were perfect and really affordable!
