He basically had a completely accurate game although i think he missed a mate in 2 if he had played rook to d1 earlier. But this also couldve been out of mercy
This is not going to be a popular opinion, but I'll give it anyway. Assuming that what you conjecture here is correct, I feel that it was on Rainn to make a committed effort to play his best chess, even if it was an overwhelming victory in both games. It wasn't his fault that it was such a mismatch; that fault clearly lies with the organisers who should have been more rigorous in checking his chess background before inviting him. While play was in progress, he had a duty to the tournament and the other participants to do his best, as in any competitive event. After the games were over, he could have discussed the situation with Michelle and the organisers. At this point, it would have been made to clear to Michelle that this was an anomalous mismatch, and that what she experienced here is not representative of what she can expect in her other games, and is not a negative reflection on her skill and the effort she's put in to preparing for the tournament. Essentially, any damage to Michelle's confidence or her desire to continue with chess could have been minimised through constructive discussion involving all parties after the game, but while play is in progress, unfortunately I feel that Rainn shouldn't have held back. Just my two cents.

In a pure competition, your thoughts are correct. The part you're missing is that it is entertainment before a competition. They need eyeballs on screens. He made it more fun to watch than mopping the floor with an extreme novice. EDIT: Also, I think he's a nice person and didn't want to embarass her.
I just wante to say, i always HATED asmr out of principle, it made my skin crawl and i didnt get it. But something about your asmr is just soothing as hell, gets me super chillaxed and it feels like i enjoy chess 10x more and learn twice as fast. Also, you are a great teacher! I would love to get like a beginner to intermediate improvement playlist in the future :D keep up the good work!

did they play f6 in response to Bb2? Because that is a win for you. Now they have cramped their own bishop that was supposed to go on g7 and that have made an inferior pawn structure on the kingside.
@@ASMRChess I played b2 and they blocked with the knight, I attacked the knight with e5 who went back, I then pushed my pawn, but instead of capturing my pawn like Michelle, they played f6. I am a terrible player so it may have been winning but I gave up on that attack and played as normal.
@@Pond721 continuing as normal is the correct solution there. You have induced a significant weakness in their position and you don't need to do anything further. Just develop your pieces and go about your business.

I think that is very correct. Uploading like this was a bit of an experiment actually. I wanted to see if the 2 videos would steal views from eachother or if they would somehow have a synergy effect. Let's check back in a couple of days and see how they are doing.
