i have adhd and it’s very hard sometimes to learn new stuff, and i struggle a lot with chess because it’s quiet and takes patience and thinking and my attention span can’t really deal w that, but this videos are soooo helpful. there’s something about how calm but interesting they are that for some reason helps me concentrate. thank u for making these :)

Loving that last puzzle; haven't seen that one before, and it is really interesting. The solution's not immediately obvious at first sight, but it only takes that one insight regarding the colour complexes, and then it's all so simple. Beautiful problem.

I've been trying to go through chess.com's lessons and I have yet to learn about the mating net as much as I've heard it from videos on TH-cam. Right off the bat with that first puzzle, this is already an extremely instructive video! Not to mention relaxing but that's a given
This was awesome! :) More of these videos along with the analyzing of games, but like this, with a real chessboard! its so much better and more cozy and more fun to learn and relaxing than chess on the computer :) thank you!
You would need so many videos to display that :) Many going into the adventurous e5.. e6 for the ambitious french positions, c5 being the sicilian refuting most regular e4 plans.. and that's not even scratching the surface of all the gambits you can play.. I'm also leaving out pirc, petrovs, scandinavians, modern defenses, or any transpositions that may occur lol. You may want to pick a more isolated opening further than e4 rather than just responding to e4 itself.
e5(Italian, ruy lopez, scotch 4knights), e6(french defense and it's many variants), d6(pirc defense), g6(modern defense), d5(Scandinavian defense), c5(sicilian defense and it's many variants), c6(caro kann defense), Nf6(Alekhine defense), b6(Owen defense) all the decent responses i can think of

en passant only works when the pawn you want to capture has moved 2 squares (only possible on the pawn's first move). In this position the pawn you want to capture only moves 1 square and so you cannot use en passant. Basically you can think of en passant as "attack of opportunity". When a pawn tries to shoot past another pawn by moving 2 squares, that pawn still get to capture that pawn.
Through 2021 I will do my utmost to keep the content flowing. My dream is to reach 100k subs and I've dedicated 2021 to see if I can make serious progress towards that goal. Of course with covid and all sorts of things it is possible that I have to turn my attention away from the channel but I will do everything I can to keep on making content at least throughout 2021.

The second puzzle is the most beautyful puzzle I hav eseen in my entire life!
it was also created by Paul Morphy who played some of the most beautiful chess in history.
It took me ridiculously long to find the solution to that first puzzle

Maybe. My Warcraft 2 video is almost exclusively whispering so you can use that until I make a chess one :)

1600 I guess
1700 on his active account on chess.com and 1900 on an inactive account called asmrchess. I was interested too so looked him up!
he has a bunch of live games from years ago which are great. think the highest players he was beating were 1800 or 1900 but I can't remember

It is a DGT E-board, you can look it up on google. Same boards are used at FIDE tournaments btw.
