I think people believe bass fishing is boring because every bass angler clamps down their drag and just hard lines them in. Maybe if they had a click(y) drag it would seem more finesse than using a 40lb test line to catch a 2 pound fish. But for a lure maker, this approach makes more sense because you want to see what actually is on the line, and how it well the bait does, so keep doing what you are doing. It is great work!

Your videos are fun. This was one of your best I've seen for catching. Great stuff. Try my trick for not losing big swimbaits on a screwlock hook: After you've rigged it, run a toothpick through the head from one side to the other. Make sure it goes through the coils of the hitchiker. Use scissors or a nail clipper to trim the toothpick flush with the plastic. Fish as normal. Sweet as. Tight lines Marling.

I mostly watch your videos to relax. I dunno what it is but just these swimbait making videos are super chill.
like, I love fishing but never have the time to get out there, and most of the time I don't really know what I'm doing. My dad hated fishing when I was growing up and no one in my social circles really wanna teach me. Well, except for my long distance friends. I go fishing with them the most but they're a couple hour plane ride away. At least it's somethin'.
Anyway, thank you for the super chill, super entertaining videos. You help me remember to take a breath some days. Sorry for the long comment.
