Maybe do the top half in cotton while the front bottom and back are in vinyl??? Switch it up and keep the vinyl out of the top for easy sewing. Just my two cents. Thanks Siah.

I do the pockets in a similar way except I cut two pocket pieces and make one one inch longer than the other so they come out even and I don't have to cut any off.

I have some fun hippie fabric that is like a polyester or rayon which I didn’t know when I purchased it years ago. I think it would look good for that tote. Have you ever made a purse with a polyester or nylon type fabric, if so, what type of stabilizer would you recommend?

It was just a one size fusible fleece I got from joanns..

Yes you can. As long as you interface first with a woven type of interfacing you should be good to go!
What Teflon sheet do you use? Do you place it between the fabric and the iron?

Just a brief comment..............I made about 50 tote bags during the past 15-16 yrs and the top zipper closure was done just like the one shown in this pattern......first one was just a regular one way zipper.....then double pull zips came on the market and so then I started using two zippers ...closed to the middle..............
This is a very good pattern but I think I like mine better.............more pockets, etc.

Do you havexa pattern for a small tote for 2 cup coffee holder, insulated, and washable or wipe with able divided so the cups don't move much
I am handicapped hard to get the coffe from coffee while we are away, i use a walker, hard to open doors and carry coffee without spilling everything
And maybe some room on top for a little some googies on top??
