one funny thing is that since the cartoon lagged a little from introducing toys, at this time the toys already had out the "cobra viper" footsoldier who i liked the design of, so i kept hoping this would introduce them, but no, just a really old joke.
I reckon they should have made a limited edition "Vindo Viper" figure just as a joke. It might have been a peg-warmer, only owned by Ashens, but it would have been worth a laugh.
@@Pretzelcoatlus I could easily see "Vindo Viper" being part of an Eaglemoss "part-works" set. You'd get him in Issue #1, then you'd get a free binder with Issue #2. And he might even end up in a charity shop, like the two Star Trek ship models I found for £5 each in my local Oxfam. Which again reminds me to go prowling around charity shops again. It's been too long since I've gone hunting for obscure treasures.
I just found and watched this classic again. One thing you missed in your review. By the end when the Joes go to Extensive Enterprises Tomax and Xamot are already beat up in torn clothing, but they weren’t in any of the previous scenes. All of this is supposed to have happened happened in one day.
This was the first season? That's sad. They didn't even have enough decent stories to fill a single season. The comic went for around 100 issues and reputedly was mostly win.
Scarlet is still a hottie. Shipwreck is still a cornball Snake Eye and storm shadow are related to ken and ryu from street fighter. Serpentor was the beginning of the end for this show. Cobra La was corny from the start. Optimus Prime can kick all their butts.
It's not racist in my opinion. Racism involves degradation and his mispronunciation isn't really anything trying to tear him down but just a fact of life that people have accents.
Without a doubt, one of the best episodes of G.I.JOE ever made. I've seen this episode hundreds of times and the last part STILL cracks me up!
The fact that Cobra got pwned by a window wiper is priceless!
If there was ever any proof that the universe had it out for Cobra, this was it.
And then The Viper killed them all for laughing at him.
Had this episode on VHS. Good times.
I rented a vhs that had this episode once. First time encountering G.I. Joe episodes of the 80s.
Barbeques incredulous chuckle and the finger point at the end makes me crack up every single time 🤣🤣🤣
I have had this rattling around my head for 20 or 30 years 😂😂
Same
The Viper is a classic! turning horror into comedy
This was the greates moment of my childhood.
One of THE best episodes of ANY American cartoon EVER.
I Am De Viper!
lol i remember watching this eating my peanut butter toast before school thanks for giving me a flashback
What a great show.. this show was amazing.. such heart they put into it
I knew I wasn't dreaming I remember this for my childhood
I have to admit the ending was good because they were all prepared for an unknown upcoming.
But they were never prepared for how funny this would end.
Why is this the only episode I remember watching??? And in detail… lol

Whoa whoa whoa, hold on a Goddamn minute....
So he can pronounce "WEST" right, but not "wipe" or "windows?"
I would be VERY CAREFUL, if I were you, to use God's name as a curse word

Omg my childhood ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Rian Johnson needs to watch this and learns how to properly subvert expectations.
I liked that episode too, it was funny at the end.
Out of context, the last scene makes me laugh my ass off.
It’s even funnier with context, because even Cobra was in shambles trying to figure out who the Viper was, with everyone accusing each other
Wow, this brings it back!! Awesome!! Thanks for sharing!!
Maybe make the background music a little louder cuzbi can almost make out the dialog and we don't want that now do we?
Popped in my head today for some reason
The MMO Final Fantasy XIV announced their new class, "Viper", this is what sprang to mind.
Vidjagame Apocalypse 176 reminded me about this episode. so good.
Whoops, looks like facilities never gave them the memo.
I'm surprised the "Viper" didn't comment on the warm GI Joe welcome that was waiting for him.
that's the interesting part he's seen worse shit

Only here because of FunHaus.
And then the old man rips off his mask revealing that he is a Cobra assassin and he kills them all while their guard is dropped.
I don't know any Zartan.

Cobra La La Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa LOL
omfg.....wow
How much money did the Joes blow on this deployment?
There is at least 70 Joes there. Someone needs to do math on 4 hours pay wasted setting everything up and then standing around
If you're old, then so am I. ^^
WHAT A FUCKING RIP OFF. I JUST FOUND OUT THERE WAS A CHILDREN'S STORY OF THE SAME NAME FROM THE COLLECTION SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK.
When I was a kid, I thought this was funny. Now I know how racist it is.
Racist?!
@@wolfprime The entire episode is making fun of that dudes accent.
@@davesargent7304 I see where you’re coming from. I see it differently, but I’d be splitting hairs. I’ll spare you.
