They put “The Message” ahead of good storytelling.

Their relationship was so believable and genuine but they still tried to get us to think Duke and Scarlet had chemistry 😂. Like it's obvious who'd she go with.

Some of those writers had obviously flawed thinking of "white stays on white" romance. newsflash boys, our genepool can't afford another inbreeding incident and need all the mix-breeds to compensate for the new proxy wars!
The commentary said other things that didn't make any sense, in episode Return of the Arashikage, Kevin Altieri said that they were already in love... the man must be living in his own head canon since nothing in that episode showed that at all and later episodes showed nothing as well.
This was such an underrated gem. It's a shame it got cancelled after one season, mostly due to the GI Joe film adaptation not meeting expectation.
The main series director and designer also passed away shortly after iirc.
Snake Eyes was definitely giving Duke a “go to hell” look when he and Scarlett hugged.

I really like this couple, as well as this animated series. In my opinion, this is the best G.I. Joe animated series and I consider it underrated. I was introduced to the franchise when I saw the first movie. And when I saw "G.I. Joe Renegades", I fell in love with G.I. Joe even more. Scarlett and Snake Eyes look great together! I really want from you to see all the moments of the Duke and Scarlett together, this couple is also cool! Thanks a lot for the video!

I love This Cartoon. I liked The Dúo of Snake Eyes and Scarlett. That make a Perfect Couple and Perfect Partnership.
I cannot wait to See G.I. Joe to have Crossovers with Transformers. They make Crossovers In The Comics, and Now In Skybound Comics they make a Crossovers of Hasbro Share Universe. And Rise Of The Beasts Sequel to have Crossovers with Transformers and GI Joe. Same Thing with Transformers EarthSpark Season 2. And Other Hasbro Brands. I am very Excited and Super Hyped for The Future of Transformers and GI Joe.
And i Hope to See A Brand New G.I. Joe Cartoon to be Announced In Hasbro Convention on Brazil to The Main Héroes Will be Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. And have a Suits of Modern Technology To be liked a Power Rangers.
Fr every GI goe is so grand and extreme which only makes the most sense but it was still cool to see them In a simpler light like this
Love how snake eyes is so unfazed by any type of movement whenever enemies or his teammates are around, like his martial arts ninja training is ALWAYS intact.
Also I love how much faith Scarlett has in snake eyes when she said “…..for them” when tunnel rat was shocked that snake eyes would actually win against all those bikers that were terrorizing that small town.
I'm sorry, was her online name "Snake Bait23". If there's no greater love than having your online name after your significant other, I don't know what is.

I loved these two together, and I really loved the show. I’ve tried watching other G.I. Joe shows, but none of them really had what this one was going for it. I know there were some moments with her and Duke but let’s be honest Snakes and Scarlett had a thing going on.
I’m not sure why they’re always trying to pair Scarlett up with other people in the shows and movies. She and Snakeyes make a great couple in the comics, as much as Flint and Lady Jaye.

Honesty my most favorite moment involving these two's relationship was Scarlet obliviously saying that she's High Maintenance.
I loved these two in Renegades. And I wish we could have gotten a Transformers crossover.

This show is really the closest any GI Joe adaptation has come to bring Larry Hama's original vision of the series to life, especially with how they handled Cobra, this show really did end far too soon.
What stop him from doing it?
@@LovegearssGI Joe Retaliation which came out the same year didn't do that well, so the show was unfortunately cancelled because of the movie flopping.

The comics, Marvel / IDW / Image by Hama does a far, far better job at showing why Snake-Eyes and Scarlett make sense.

I'm still remember GI Joe 50 years later
Basically for those who don’t know this show. It’s quite possibly the last GI Joe cartoon because if this idea didn’t work nothing will. It’s less USA military propaganda at its core as it deals with Dukes unit being labeled AWOL in a cover up by Cobra. Cobra in this cartoon is a corporation that does shady stuff and it’s up to dukes and the joes to stop them.
It’s from hasbos ill fated Hub era. While transformers and even my little pony got successful reboots GI Joe wasn’t lucky.
The show did well. Hasbro just didn't wanted two g.i joe out at the same time. They cancelled it for that 2012 movie.
Scarlett & Snake-Eyes remind me of Megatron & SoundWave from transformers prime 😂😂

Ah sorry, that's not accurate. It didn't get a second season because the live action movie was coming out and Hasbro didn't want more than one piece of GI Joe media out at the same time.

Hasbro did stated its cancelation was due similarities of the Joe's being runaway fugitives,but that was only one time thing. Their names are cleared at the end of the season.
I can understand how jinks must feel I mean snake eyes cares more about scarlett more than he does her but believe it or not he does care about her like a sister it's just that the reason why a snake eyes has to care for a Scarlett is because he made a promise to her father before he disappeared to take care of her I can understand why she feels that way I mean ever since growing up as children she's known him longer but ever since he worked for Scarlett's father he made him a promise to take care of her if something were to happen to him
But that is no reason to hate Scarlett just because Snake eyes cares more for her than he does jinks cuz he cares about them both equally one as his girlfriend the other one as a sister I mean he was raised in her family so that technically makes them kind of like relatives in a way but she loved him as something more than just a Sensei she loved him as somebody who she could rely on and care for but she thinks that Scarlett stole him from her and that's why she's jealous because she and him have a strong relationship

I'm a Snake-Eye/Scarlett fan, but only from the comics, so I'm not trying to be mean here, but these moments in this series sadly only show a close friendship, or at best it was a working relationship, nothing more, not a couple in love, since there was no answer to that. The whole thing that they have a bound, boyfriend, girlfriend and his woman and so on, that was only the assumption from others, not from them. Scarlett was shocked and dismissed what Jinx said about how much he cared for her, she and the other thought that Snake killed his master, even though he was just a kid at that time... that doesn't say a whole lot for having any trust in him. The fact that Scarlett let her guard down, willing open herself up to someone she barely knew in episode Going Underground, showed more affection when compared to someone she's supposed to have known longer and she doesn't try to clear anything up with Snake Eyes… that doesn't say much for her so-called relationship with him or that she had any deep feelings for him. This series should not have had a will then or won't then, they should have already been a pairing, like the comic book.
I hate to say it, but I think Snake Eyes would probably have been better off with Jinx in this series since his feelings for Scarlett were clearly not returned at all. Like so many other G.I. Joe animated series from the past, it seems that Scarlett was eventually going to end up with douche, I mean duke, they just about always end up throwing them together no matter what. In the end, this wasn't a very good series, it was G.I. Joe in name only, it pales in comparison to the story telling and characterization writing from the comic book.
I Hope to See Paramount Plus Will revived this Cartoon to make Múltipled Seasons. I hear a News Of Season 2 of G.I. Joe Renegades it's going liked Inspirared on The Avengers of 2012. The Showrunners said that in Interview.
My life would be perfect if this show got revived
Duke Is Inspirared on Iron Man and Hawkeye Clint Barton, Snake Eyes Is Inspirared on Captain América, Black Panther, Black Knight, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Deadpool, Moon Knight, Daredevil, etc. And Scarlett Is Inspirared on Black Widow, Mary Jane Watson, Jean Grey, Sersi, Elektra, etc.
And Cobra Commander it's Liked Red Skull.
As someone who knows practically nothing about G.I. Joe, who or what is Snake Eyes that it took four or five tranqs and a kick to the chest to knock him out???
They talk about it in the ep but he exposes himself to small doses of tranquilizer to build immunity lol

His throat was sliced by Stormshadow. But they make it pretty clear that he was burned at some point.
Storm Shadow sliced his throat when they were younger, then he starts hiding his face after being horrifically burned in an explosion.

I've never liked any GI Joe media trying to pair Scarlett with anyone else but Snakeeyes after reading the comic where she was shot in the head and in the hospital and there was a question whether she would ever pull through and he says one thing he has ever spoken after his accident and that was her name. Gotta say I liked the Snake Eyes movie, as far as the fact that it was just a fun time. I figured this show was a Diamond in the rough, so I had low expectations for the new adaptations. Only issue for the movie was… why’d they never make him mute? I would’ve settled for an Oath of Silence, but nah he was talking up till the credits. Maybe they were hoping for a franchise, but it’s his freaking origin story. Idk, I still had fun but nothing will hold a candle to this show
I liked parts of the new movie but I was really hoping it'd be new and completely separate from the other live action movies lol I had my hopes too high cuz I really didn't enjoy those at all

i especially hate how Baroness is portrayed in the live action movies - as a brainwashed american instead of an extremist russian noblewoman. any media that refers to her as "anna" instead of "anastasia" immediately gets a thumbs down from me
