THe Reaping. an earlier audio play featuring the 6th doctor and Peri Brown that explores the consequences of leaving your life behind to travel through time and space. Its bloody good. Love this style of video. Short little 5min mini reviews that one,feed the algorithm demons and two gives a wider range of story’s to be exposed and get more into the audios
This was one of my first doctor who audios and it made me really love the sixth doctor and peri, in this audio you can feel that they have a platonic love, where even though the doctor gives off a cold exterior he has a heart of gold.
Peri is just wonderful
This audio storry was one of the first I had ever bought from Big Finish . Its really depressing but its great for a first listen. Fun fact this is technacly part of a trilogy of audio stories involving the cybermen, the one ofter this being "Harvest" with the seventh doctor, and the precious one being the 5th doctor and teegan. Honestly while i understand the perspective of the family, I am honestly shocked by how cruel they are to peri.
I was too, but honestly I get the impression that this was a pattern of behaviour for her, going off and doing whatever she wants without thinking to tell anyone where she will be or when she'll be back
The reaping is always my go too 6th n peri story it feels like at the end of the story they have grown over loads of stories rather than just one
Google box is actually a UK invention and when I first listened I wondered if the guy who made it was a big finish fan

For such a long time now I've wondered and wanted to know, what is the darkest, or most disturbing Doctor Who story? This probably isn't it but jesus christ, just listening to you talk about it makes it seem really heartwrenching

Its more like she's the Doctor's long suffering mental health nurse. Having driven several of those crazy in my time I can certainly relate.
The sequel/prequel (yes its both at the same time because Doctor Who) The Gathering is even better and fuck you RTD and Chibnall for ruining it with your Disney shit.

Tegan CHOOSING to die of her brain tumour rather than once again entrusting her future to the man who (however unintentionally) screwed up her entire life was not only poignant and poetically beautiful but in keeping of the more mature attitude to the world of her era. There are none of the childish sentiments, happy endings and chance immortalities of RTD or Other forbid Moffat its quiet and dignified. Two things the RTemake has never been even under the more faithful hand of Chibnall.

I love that one! It is so creepy and the idea of constance dying and getting a new tree body is just brilliant
@@thatDamnAusWhoFan also given 6 chance of showing his scheming side, and the atmosphere was great, the best 6 story i listened to in a while ,also recommended "the middle " the 6's story that was before static, it was phenomenal with an interesting premise
