  • We found an extension of a high grade copper and gold vein in between two old gold mines. Vein is loaded with bornite and chalcopyrite which is holding gold, silver and copper. Logging has uncovered this and we exposed the gold vein more and have recently tested this high grade gold ore!

    For everyone's information I have had some questions about the mythical "fools gold" and if it can actually contain gold. So heres a little explanation in layman's terms 🤔
    Gold cannot always be extracted by gravity methods (crushing and panning) some times you need chemicals. You also generally can't see visible gold when its found as a sulfide, sometimes you can but even at higher grades under a microscope it doesn't always show.
    Finding out the correct proscess to refine ore is almost as hard as finding the deposit itself. People focus on visible gold when it's not always the visible gold that has the richest deposits. Picture baking a cake, mixing in all the ingredients and baking it, now try to seperate every ingredient once its baked.... Same concept as most elements found in sulfide ores. Many people discount sulfide minerals like iron pyrite when in fact we have found many rich "iron pyrite" deposits.
    Iron pyrite is iron and sulfur, in all my years I have never seen an XRF or assay that just showed iron and pyrite there is always other minerals with it replacing elements like iron, sulfur ect..., it only takes a small amount of certian minerals like gold to make a deposit of iron pyrite a gold deposit.
    One of these days I will have an analysis done on regular looking pyrite and I will show everyone what actually come up! 😁👍
    Cheers and happy hunting!

    Nice cuprous deposit there !! The Bornite and chalcopyrite look awesome, I can just enision the Bornite after exposure to the air for a while. I agree, there is some iron there as well as silver. I just love the irridescent blue in the bornite. It looks like you could have a nice copper mine there from the looks of the specimens. A real bonus is the silver and gold byproduct.

      Its mostly chalcopyrite and bornite. The odd thing is there is some other mineral in there that's magnetic. Probably not a sulfide, bornite is only magnetic with sulfur roasted off. Well have a little update video and tell some XRF results in the next couple days.

      I think it helped to have the logging guys come in with the heavy equipment and 'turn over' the earth as they did their thing, un-hiding what would take days to survey otherwise?

    My question is, what do you consider as 'high grade'? 32 grams per ton or 5 to 10 ounces per to like they get here in Arizona? Loved the video and finds, Justin.

    • @911mining
      @911mining  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends on quantity you have a million tonnes, 3 grams per ton is high grade. I would classify anything over an 1ounce/ton high grade here when dealing with this deposit 10oz a ton would be bonanza grade lol. Ore grades depend on wether or not it can be mined profitably. For instance the other side of the mountain in the late 1960s they removed 23 tonnes from a epithermal Au/Ag quartz vein recovery was an average of 46g/ton. That deposit is harder to get to than this and based on initial XRF this is higher grade with the addition of some silver and high grade copper.

    • @kennethclark5636
      @kennethclark5636 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@911mining The highest grade at Superior, AZ was 5000 to 8000 ft. underground 5 to 8 ounces per ton in the early 1970's, number 11 shaft.

    Titling the video “found gold vein” and then not showing any gold was very misleading & disappointing. Talk about CLICK BAIT!!

    • @911mining
      @911mining  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      How is it misleading finding a high grade gold and copper vein. I am assuming you are unaware golds not commonly found in its native form, in fact is pretty rare to see visible gold in chalcopyrite and bornite.

      No just not needed we dont send in every sample anymore it's to expensive, we have access to an XRF which will give fairly accurate instant results, we send in samples based on what ones XRF well. We are working on some larger properties and for instance we have pulled about 800 samples from different areas on this claim alone.

    I dont think they missed it , they lie about how long it takes to grow gem and crystals and minerals , and they all form different rates depending on the depostits in the dirt .(and if you were there before when it was empty than thats what grew)!!!!!!! just like you look for crystals after forest fires.........its a heating and cooling thing , think in this different perspective , it doesn't take them long to man-make perfect gem stones , why because it doesn't take millions to grow but yes some crystals can be millions of years old if they are in an old vein or pocket ........... food for thought, im just a new prospecter , but this is what im noticing , and learning off locals in Colorado!!!!!!! Maybe im right maybe im wrong , but they certainly wouldn't want us knowing how easy it is to make crystals, (and hide it like they hide Tesla's patents )and minerals cause then they couldn't charge us and arm and leg for simple silica formulas for making crystals , they now exactly how to make them exact formulas for perfect quality. Just food for thought

    Do you remember awhile back I tried to describe a rock I found to you as looking "like if someone splashed gasoline on silver" lmao iridescence was a MUCH better way to describe it hah. It was definitely Bornite. 👍 The colors got much more pronounced a couple days after I'd broken it open and it had a chance to oxidize.

    Hello 911 Mining friends. I don't understand why claim that these samples of mineralized rocks have gold. In the sector where I live, I found a lot of dispersed quartz and rocks with mineralization similar to the ones you expose in your videos. Take about 10 Kilos, I sprayed them with the old school method, and then with the light pan about 100 milligrams with soap and water, and I couldn't see a speck of gold. For you that part of the process I did wrong, you can see the samples in a video that I put on my channel. I would appreciate your comments in this regard ...

      Okay. Thank you, I will take your comment into account as there is always something new to learn in the prospecting world. From what you say is a lot of work, I will have to do a search with a metal detector on the ground where I found the rocks with minerals. Let's see if I can get some piece of thick gold.

    Can you tell the difference between AU and chaolco by eye without a loop?

    • @TheIrongutz
      @TheIrongutz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Easy to tell by eye; Pyrites are shiny in sunlight only and crush easily, while gold has a buttery luster even in the shade and will not break into pieces but can be flattened easily with a hammer.
