    As always, right on point; you have clarity on both English and Spanish *as* they are actually spoken. Just for my clarity: te quiero to my close friends, and te amo to my wife, right? What about to my grandfather or daughter?

    • @MauraSpringSpanish
      @MauraSpringSpanish 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks, Allen! Right, definitely "te amo" to your wife, your daughter and your grandfather. Me and my friends use "te amo" with each other but we're basically family, so it depends on how close the relationship is. Some people still strugle with this in Spanish but it is more of a generation thing, you know? Especifically, at least in Venezuela, it was harder to hear man saying this out loud to anyone who wasn't their partner, but it's changing now. =)

    Hola, Maura, muy buen vid. Bastante divertido. (By the way, where did you get 'I'm full of work' from? We usually use 'full' like this when we are talking about food in English).

    • @MauraSpringSpanish
      @MauraSpringSpanish 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      ¡Muchas gracias Robert! I'm glad you noticed the "full". We use it in Venezuela a lot! As many other words from many other languages this has found its way into our lexicon. We use it, in Spanish, for anything we are "full" of, whether it is food, work, even energy! Curious, right'? =)=)=)

    • @robertflint2549
      @robertflint2549 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MauraSpringSpanish Thanks for your response, Maura. In English you can say 'I'm full' meaning 'I've eaten enough' as well as 'I'm full of energy'. Also 'he/ she is full' can mean simply that they are drunk. (This is old slang actually). But oddly, you can't say 'he's full of work'. We would just say 'he's over worked' or 'he's got too much work'.
      I like your videos. My only criticism would be that there's a bit too much English within. I've made this comment to other South American teachers online. This seems to be the South and Central American way: to translate everything into English when teaching Spanish. Your Iberian cousins when teaching Spanish online definitely don't do this eg. Español Con Juan, María Español, Spanish From Spain (with Reyes), Spanish With Vicente and Hoy Hablamos....

    Good lesson. Chavo reminds me of Tim Conway. I like the old-timey comedians who let themselves be the butt of the joke

    • @MauraSpringSpanish
      @MauraSpringSpanish 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks a lot! Yeahhh, El Chavo is definitely that vibe. I enjoy that too but in a very different way than "modern comedy". This just comforts me, you know? =)=)=)

    ¡Hola, Maura! Misisima gracias para el vídeo!❤️ Do you recommend me writing down all the chunks in the video, or just the one towards the end when you show the recap? te veo luego😊

    • @MauraSpringSpanish
      @MauraSpringSpanish 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh, we always encourage you to write down all the chunks in the video because they are in the most common conjugations. The recap at the end, in the table, are only covering the present tense. ¡Gracias a ti por estar aquí! =)=)=)

    The word 'chunk' seems to be a buzz word with the crew of Spring Spanish. Hopefully, it won't spread further than your channel. I hate 21st century buzz words and avoid them like the plague. (I am a retired teacher of English as a foreign language. So I know all about using chunks when learning a language).
