My DEXA results are 4.5 in spine and hip. Can't find any concise information about the meaning of this, other than that it indicates severe osteoporosis. What I wish to know is: has anyone ever had a score of 5, 6 or 7? Other number results? Does this mean I shall definitely have a fracture? Internet offers nothing about this, so perhaps the knowledge is not out there yet, and doctors only know about average cases and numbers. I am hungry for any further information at all! Thank you.

Should be taking vitamin D with vitamin K2 for strong bones, Dr Fauci who's 79 years old is talking 6,000iu of vitamin D per day.

@@DeeBee2013 Dee thank you. Funny you should say, as I had ordered those two supps and have been on them for 4 days. One of the few things I have taken that I can say that I actually feel the difference. I feel stronger and more normal.

@@MAI-mw2cc Yea Mai thanks. I have seen the doctor and he does want me to take a bone med, but I am resisting this approach because it seems to me that the current bone meds can have devastating side effects down the road, like a build up of excess bone that can break through the skin and cause damage and infection, and even cancer. I thought it was interesting when I learned that during certain infections osteoclasts serve the useful function of ridding the body of diseased and useless tissue. Dangerous not to rid the body of that during these times, no?

@@MAI-mw2cc Thank you Mai. I realize the risks I am taking, but some of us have to do that based on our own experience and conclusions.

I don't want a rich, red-faced guy with an expensive suit and yellow silk tie to talk to me about my bone scan. Please do better.
