    (1:16) Thanks for doing a comparison with the GMMK Pro! I bought an IK75 because I wanted the GMMK Pro Wireless that Glorious themselves won't make! As such, I've been trying to do research into if I can install a GMMK Pro top plate and/or knob on the IK75.
    (2:33) Thanks for pointing that out! I do want the stock GMMK Pro typing experience, but with a Bluetooth connection to my tablet (that I use for reduced distraction typing sessions)! Most computer keyboard enthusiasts seem to go after the sound, but I go after the physical feel instead!

    • @YBBK
      @YBBK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No problem, glad I helped you out! For your plate question, I don’t think it will work as gmmk pro plates have these weird proprietary tabs on the edges that won’t allow it to fit with other similar pcbs. However, i’m pretty sure you can use the gmmk pro knob though

      Ah! Thanks for the info! I'm waiting to receive my IK75 before I take a look to see if GMMK Pro knobs would fit.
      Edit: I meant 'top case', not 'top plate', but I'm sure you know what I meant.
      Edit 2: GMMK Pro knobs do fit on the IK75, but the backlight directly shines through as the knob is backlit! I'm sure someone has a printable template for a circular thing to reflect the light away when using a GMMK Pro knob, though.

    if you wanna de-lube a bunch of switches make sure to put the stems and housings in a minute bath of the purest isopropyl alchohol you can find and let it dry for at least 8 hours. soapy water can take a really long time to properly dry from the leaf's of the housings and will screw up your switches.

    @laowu830 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you know why this keyboard have 2 batteries?
    It looks like the bit where you play in the batteries on the PCB is right above the batteries. Is this what’s limiting the flex? What if you reposition the batteries avoid contact between these two parts? You can also consider swapping them out for smaller batteries. Just some thoughts💭

    • @YBBK
      @YBBK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not too sure why its split into two, I assume its to allow for the case supports. And yes, its the battery connector thats limiting movement. The batteries are already in the best place as the case gets more and more shallow downwards. You probably could swap them out for smaller batteries as well however I'm fine with the current build and not really looking to spend any more money on it lol

      @@YBBK with the battery installed did you noticed any difference in flex with case foam compared to without it? In my unit the case foam definitely reduced the flex, so I got rid of it. I wonder what kind of material should I replace the case foam with, maybe silicone pour?

    • @YBBK
      @YBBK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Anti3D-0 there probably is a slight change in flex without the case foam however it’s very minuscule. I doubt there is a real change in feel. It’s mainly the battery that stops flex. Replacing the case foam with other alternatives probably won’t increase flex. They might change the sound though

      I mean if you can afford the gmmk pro go for it or the q1. The comparison wasn’t really to show which one you should get as obviously there is a huge price difference. It was there to show the similarities in design. The ik75 and gmmk pro are in different classes.
