I think the issue here is on rural - urban migration, whereby most of young men have moved from the villages to the cities for greener pastures and end up settling there for good. Village to town you rullin the streets💪, loving your content 👌
I was personally born in a village called gathaithi about 3km from ikinu...but as much as men around here are so addicted to alcohol, these areas around githunguri constituency....90%of the population here are cattle farmers and cattle farming here is abit serious so depending on the time you are passing through, men are busy taking care of their cattles and from around 2 to 3,try and pass the same place and you will see the deffrence.....the other factor is rural urban migration..i moved out since 2009 and i only go back for visits once i a while and i believe many more has done so and will keep doing it....

I lived in ting'ang'a for 3 years around 2006 and insecurity was a big issue. Young men forming gangs and robbing homes and businesses. Mungiki members also in neighboring ikinu. 80%of shops were bars at the time.
Im From Tinganga and Tinganga is large its not what youve shown even Kiamumbi is in Tinganga, and many Villages,The reason youve not seen many Men its because they come to town jioni wako Kwa villages,You cant compare population of riabai to tinganga because riabai and kirigiti Many people hae rented there,They are from different counties and they rent in either Kiambu towns, kirigiti etc.On the other hand in Tinganga not many people who have rented Like Huko ni kwenye wamezaliwa, there are villages such as gituamba, gitundu, nyautu, gaita, kagongo etc,Hao wanaume huenda Kambi masaa ya jioni wakienda kwa clubs,Mchana wanakuanga kazi ata umeona kuna dairy hapo kambi which means watu wengi ni wakulima wa ngombe,
I wonder whether that town was named after an argument where one group was saying it is Ng’ang’a who got the prettiest girl in town pregnant while the other group which was bigger was saying “Ti Ng’ang’a” and the name stuck.
i love your work,i watched the kambiti video but you need to improve on the following; 1.Get yourself a better camera, take pictures and video from different angles and get yourself a proffesional in video editing. 2.sometimes get out of the vehicle and interact with Indigenous Peoples you can make prior arrangement. 3.Atleast share a cup of tea or a dish with the wenyeji.thanks

My home village which has really grown beautiful proud to be from tings.
That's great
The low number of men in the area is worrying, but the town is beautiful and well developed. Kudos!

they really exagerate issues.... This statistic is ordinary!
I'm also surprised. In fact gender population in Kenya is almost equal. Men die more due to risky lifestyles.
