Already I know where am going my retirement after long years of work…I love nyandarua county I thought even it was the highlands of Switzerland 🇨🇭 I really love it😍
I come from kipipiri, the shrinking population is partly due to migration to less cold areas. Nyandarua has become colder than ut used to be when we were growing up. This has really affected people healthwise especially the older people who have resorted moving out
I alsways think that it would be better to improve our standards of living instead of relocating. You see everyone dreams of living in Europe which is way colder than kinangop. It is because the infrastructure there supports comfortable living. we should do the same in nyandarua instead of relocating.

Well done! Watching from Ethiopia, glad for the tour through nyandarua. I think this trend to bear less children due past population reduction move is common in many places
Watching from Washington State ( Seattle). One of my home area ( Ol Kalou - Ndundiri - Nakuru. Please, go all around those areas and see what a beautiful county it is. The future East Africa food basket.
I just bumped into this. I love your eloquence and the sourcing of info , figures and relevant stuff. I like that you keep it precise and straight to the point, not to mention the scenery and video go hand in hand. That you don't hoot is toppen!
Wow!! Thankyou for that trip.I love watching such cz I see like I already know places in kenya that I have never visited. Kudos.. You are so calm and eloquent in explaining.
Beautiful vlog! I come from Kipipiri, biggest challenge is poverty.....Yes food is plenty and cheap, but people move to towns to look for hard cash- income.
That's why I support the "controversial" section of the Mau Mau roads going through the Aberdares, even though I'm not from any of the areas involved. When you have roads you can move your produce to wherever it's needed. We have an unfortunate situation in this country where people go hungry while food is rotting and milk being poured to the ground elsewhere because there's no infrastructure linking supply and demand _cost effectively_ . I applaud the people for being productive even with insufficient infrastructure to support them.
I think rural towns of western Kenya, nyanza region and western province look more vibrant than mt Kenya region. Part of reason is the proximity of central kenya to Nairobi. Nairobi is the kryptonite for development of rural towns of mt Kenya. Most of kikuyus money is concentrated in Nairobi, they don't invest in local towns.
Thanks for the tour. I found it intriguing that only 3.5% indicated they have no work and only 18% work for pay. Could these two factors potentially contribute to longer lifespans?
I have been ignoring your content suggestions by TH-cam, but after watching this, I really regret and I am sorry for my mistake. Moving forward, I will be your greatest fan to pay for my sins. You do such amazing content
Know our country, thanks for sharing beautiful nyandarua, but cold not for me,i think changing food that's what make people die young, organic food is always the best. 🙏🙏🙏
By all facts, Nyandarua is the county to watch. Growing urbanisation in cities like nairobi, mombasa and Nakuru will prompt people to consider nyandarua as the next destination for work and living.
This is my home place, I also schooled here from Primary to High school. I left the place in search of higher education and that marked the end of my stay there. The shrinking population in Nyandarua is caused by number of factors like looking for better jobs in other places and education. We don't have good institutions to pursue higher education in the county. That's why we have a very large population of children below 14 years. The other factor is to escape from cold, the place is hell cold from June to around October.
The shrinking population is due to land fragmentation which forced some of us to move out in search of new settlements, Others left for Urban areas in search of jobs.Nyandarua still remains the place to call home. East or West home is the best.
Already the whole road has been redesigned to be a dual carriage from flyover to olkalou i think u can see the kenha white beacons on the sides, at olkalou the dual carriage will divert to gilgil on one side and nyahururu on the other side its just awaiting implentation by a serious president like uhuru or kibaki
Central Kenya is taking European population and development characteristics in all ways. eg just as in Europe, Central Kenya has 1.Shrinking family birth rate leading to negative population growth rate 2.Low death rate 3.Shrinking young population and increased aging population group. 4.More men than women, men to women ratio = 1.2 : 1. 5.Immigration rate greater than emigration rate leading to population replacement as people from other areas take low cadre jobs eg agriculture. 6.Increasing lifestyle diseases and decrease in vector borne diseases. 7. Abandonment of culture and religion. 8. Increased urbanization, which is higher than 50% in most counties in Central Kenya. 9. Increasing single parent families 10. Increased divorce rates 11. High population density 12. Increased life expectancy 13. Increased GDP per capita etc
Nyandarua countrly is the best place you can be no dramas na stealing theft cases is very minimal the county is ranked 2nd national inrerm of per capita income youths are ever busy in manual jobs especially in shamata ndaragwa constituency
People in nyandarua have a lot of money because they mostly rely on agricultural products and one can sell any time of the year because we have ample rain

This road needs to be re tarmacked by adding another 4 inches of tarmac to ensure the road doesn't collapse with use and be costly to repair that is something the governor can do.

The shrinking population is mainly due to weather. Most people as they age relocate to Nakuru to avoid the harsh weather. Due to their nature of pastrolism and the fact that the Maasai collaborated with Mzungu, they got the opportunity to have most areas in central and rift valley named after what they used to call the areas
Many of those in Nyandarua if asked if they want to go to Europe, USA, Russia. They would go for it. The irony is, those places are much colder, snow covered, and 6-8 months cold seasons depending on where you are. So, we need to change our perception and develop the place further.
