Great reviews, man! Cheers 🥃
Thanks 😀🙏🥃
Nice line-up Fredrik and a great run through of them. Cheers.
Thank you Al😁🙏🥃
Nice review mate. I love springbank.
Just sipping in a kilkerran 8 57.1 oloroso atm during lockdown in nz. Thanks for the interesting content.
Thank you😁🙏 were in NZ ? I worked in Auckland and in Balfour a few years ago. Cheers 🥃
@@damnedbythedram951 I'm in Auckland, not much to do here at the moment tho, other then watch TH-cam and have a dram :)
Ooh some rum cask would be nice. Excellent run down I bet you had a good time recording this 😁. Cheers 🥃
Thank you Antonio 😁🙏🥃
Nice rundown, Fredrik....Let's just recall people (especially for the non-geeks out there) that this is a contemporary relaunch of this series, the initial Local Barley started in the early 1960's (the only vintages I'm sure they did exist are 1964, 1965, 1966 and sometimes several releases per year, I believe also they were all single casks & probably all over 18 yo...). I had the occasion the try one of the 1966 vintage casks and it was just out of this world. More sherry, more old fashioned style of single malts, less barley oriented for the one I've tried (it is reviewed on my website, btw, in the TOP 70 whiskies ever tasted...). I don't find the contemporary ones are as exceptional as the old ones (famous whisky writers who reviewed them all I think will agree) but I like the only one I have, the 16 yo, and among those I don't have I enjoyed the 9 or 10 yo if I remember well. Cheers, Fredrik !
Wow 😮 I only thought that they hade made one releas way back. Cheers Greg and hopefully some great samples will be at your door soon😁🥃
@@damnedbythedram951 Yes crazy old bottlings (watch Serge's blog, you'll find his views on some of the casks he tried so far). Thanks in advance, have you sent any already ? (the post isn"t very reliable at the moment). Cheers !
@@GregsWhiskyGuide I posted them for two weeks ago.
@@damnedbythedram951 OMG....not received anything, including a parcel from Whskey Novice as well...do you have a tracking number please ? (use my website address please or DM Twitter)
Congrats on reaching 100 subscribers, I'll send you something to enjoy during the lockdown?
Thank you Dominic for all the support and cheers 😁🙏🥃
Damn bud...I am jealous af of that lineup. Also, what’s your favorite Gojira album?
Thanks Erik😉🙏. Magma and From Mars to sirius. Cheers🥃
whiskey pilgrim nice choices. I got into them about two years ago and really like both those albums, along with L'Enfant Sauvage
Just tried the 16, 11 and the 9 but they were a disapointment for me so i´m sticking to the regular 15y, 18y and 21y:)
A fine looking line up. I did not really get a good understanding if you liked them or not and how much better was one from another. Thanks though.
Are they all close to each other in enjoyment? The 16 is not 2x or 3x better I guess? I think the 11 is your favourite?
I like the 11y the most but I personly think that the Local Barley series is way to overated. Springbank can produce better whisky than this and in my view its a a shame. But thats my opinion 😉. Cheers and take care 😁🥃
@@damnedbythedram951 This is great info that you should include in your videos. I prefer to hear opinion over facts, if that makes sense. I do love teh LB 9 but also love the Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2007 and it is only $60US. Thanks again.
