Andersen, M.D., a distinguished cardiologist who serves as a Rockefeller University Trustee, discussed the latest scientific and medical breakthroughs in cardiovascular health and their impact on disease prevention and patient care. She also discussed the cardiovascular complications of COVID-19. An authority on preventive cardiology and an advocate for heart disease awareness, Dr. Andersen is director of education and outreach for the Ronald O. Perelman Heart Institute at Weill Cornell Medicine. She is also an attending cardiologist and associate professor of clinical medicine at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center.
