I’m totally in love with the way you do EVERYTHING!!! I have been binge watching your videos. And about the Cricut, I’ve thought about it time and time again, but I just can’t see spending that much money.
@@OurUpcycledLife yeah, I’m learning the same thing. I almost got one in December. I’m so glad I didn’t. With what I do I would’ve probably used it very very rarely. I’m glad I’m learning so much from you to go along with my upcycling addiction.
I have to say you just saved me big time with the spray adhesive tip. I've been trying to stencil on a frame for my grandson and I've gone through 4 frames!!! This is going to hopefully fix my issue!!!
@@OurUpcycledLife That is a wonderful tip. I have heard of it for keeping the stencil in place but did not know that it helps prevent leaks ! Thanks !!!
Thank you so much! I've been struggling with stencils all week, but never thought about that type of plastic paper and adhesive spray. It seems when I get stuck, I go to your videos and you've solved my problem! Lol!
I absolutely LOVE your channel! I found your tutorial on coffee grind paint, I gave it a go yesterday and it turned out FANTASTIC! And someone else mentioned how your tutorials don't call for a cricut so thank you for that! Can't wait to try this stencil trick out for myself! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us! ♥️
I found you within the last week and am so excited !!! I have looked for recycled channels and they are just the "same old stuff". Your ideas are Wonderful ! Thanks for all you do !!
Also, (you probably think I’m crazy, being this is message number three. Lol! 😏), I wanted to say thank you very much for sharing your secrets, hacks and talents with us. It is such a blessing to be able to hop on to TH-cam and look you up when I’m trying to figure something out. You have answered so many of my questions, just through your videos. I prepay God will continue to bless this TH-cam channel for you & all the other social networks you are a part of. God bless sweet lady!
You know how teenagers are. To get one to like something us old folks like us saying a lot! Lol!!! Truly, thanks for sharing everything with us viewers. It’s a blessing.
How do you store the stencils after they have the sticky adhesive on the back? I love all your tutorials How do you store the stencils after they have the sticky adhesive on the back? I love all your tutorials❤️
Thanks for showing. I bought supplies to do it but good to see details on how to. I also heard some use a hot knife. I bought a wood burning tool with that tip. But not tried either. Ha! I'm inspired now!
Another great idea. Thanks for sharing. Last winter I tried out something new (at least for me), also with these dividers. I want to print text on it and after that transfer the text to wood. It didn't work. My laser printer made the divider very warm so it got crinkled.
Great idea. I don't have a Cricket either, I am going to try this I do have a question if I want to do your reverse image transfer method, which type of printer do I need?
This is a great video! I would like to add if you don’t have a printer and you take printer paper and trace the graphic over your laptop or iPad screen!
You read my mind! I knew there had to be a way to make these. The price of stencils are outrageous. When using spray adhesive, should I hold the can way back, maybe a foot, 12 inches, does Canada use the metric system? Sorry, I think the US is the only country that doesn’t… And could I use other graphics besides words? I have adult coloring books or even a pattern like chevron or the like. I’m definitely going to play around with this idea. Thanks for sharing! 💕
Yes so easy just have to take your time and cut slowly. You can do any design and as you get better at it try harder designs. I would do a really simple one first to get the hang of it. Yes Canada is metric but I’m still old school so do most in inches and feet 😜
@@OurUpcycledLife I really want to do an easy one. I painted a bottom shelf with black chalk paint and I’d like to do a simple pattern and stencil it on with a satin or semi gloss, black.
I’m so impressed with everything you create! Really enjoying watching your creativity. I would love to know what program/site you use to create your designs. My son and I like to make signs and other projects, but we don’t have any online Or program to make thing easier. Any info would help. Thank you 😊
How do you print the guide for your stencil? I’m trying to make my own text and print it out but I can’t figure out how to properly size the letters before I print them. They keep coming out too small. Thank you
If you are familiar with Canva, you can use that to make your letters. There is a free version. Download it to your computer print it and use that as your guide.
@@OurUpcycledLife I wish I could get my hair to look like this all over. It’s only streaks of gray/ silver. Eventually, I may go ahead and go gray all over and just embrace the wisdom gray hair brings. 😝 hahaha!!

Thanks for watching ❤️ I use a laser jet printer . That works the best for the transfer method
Wow.... looks fantastic... thankyou

thank you im gonna use your method to label a run of cassettes for my record label.

I paint murals on walls , block , sheet rock etc. any thoughts what the best material to cut stencil out of might be , for reusable stenciling?? 🙏🙏🙏

Is it Better to remove the stencil before the paint drys? Can you tell me why? What are the differing results?
hi. will the spray adhesive impact the base paint? I am putting the stencil on a wooden chest which has already been painted with blue acrylic paint.
Just use a light spritz and can put on a peice of fabric first to remove some of tackiness if worried and test a spot
When you pull off the stencil does the spray adhesive leave the wood sticky?
No it doesn’t

Thanks Jodi ! I use a Paid graphic program for my designs but you could use Canva or your word program to create lots of great signs.
Awesome thanks.
You bet!
I love your videos so much!! Just wondering, why doesn’t this spray adhesive make the stencil permanently stick to the wood?
Thanks for watching! It is not a permanent adhesive. It is meant to peel off a project when finished.
@@OurUpcycledLife oh ok. A “repositional” adhesive?
Yep exactly!❤️
great ideas thanks
Glad you like them!
I have bought stickers & stuck down, then brushed paint over them. When you remove stickers, you have a sign. It's like a reverse of what stencils do.
Yea that will work good

Is it just me, or when someone says 60 seconds you also take a minute to realise it's meaning? 😂 nice video ❤
trying to make a stencil of this design in a 16 x16? I have the design printed but where to make it 16 x 16? Will this be hard to create?
Have to find a piece of plastic that large to cut out
THANK YOU🎉
