I've done real well so far this year with these bushy hare patterns - I've also used fire orange thread with good results. Caught my first brookies in the Musky with very similar pattern. Thanks so much for all your instruction!
For me if I tie a Walt’s I need 140 denier as opposed to 70. I haven’t experimented with dubbing blends yet but I’m thinking of using some superfine dubbing with hares mask to create a more full and robust body. Then wrap that dubbing body with wire or something. I don’t lose Walt’s worms a lot but I do wear them out quick.
3:33 Dude, you foul hooked 'em. That doesn't count. ;) Thanks for all the time you clearly spend on these videos! I always learn something new. Isn't that part of what's so great about this sport/hobby!
@@tightlinevideo Yeah, just messing around. :) It looked like you got him in the face when I first watched it. Anyways, gotta get back to tying your simple scud. Tight lines!
"Without The Band, it simply wouldn't be the last waltz" dry, poetic humor. Absolutely love it (both the fly and the tip of the cap to a great band!!)
Love all the references to the Band- reason enough to give this one a try!
Can't wait to teach my 3 year old, Levon, how to tie this someday!
Love the references to The Band!
I dunno, I've watched all your videos, which are uniformly excellent. This one wins gold for the writing/narration. Especially the conclusion.
Fluorescent Pink thread with a tag is one of my variations I tie. I also use fine Cooper wire as a rib material as well. KILLER!
I fished this fly above a Frenchie on a two fly euro rig and I had great success with it. The fish went nuts for this fly. Thanks for sharing Tim.

Was this fished in Colorado streams? Nice ty!! Tight lines🐜🕷️🐛!!!!
I like these simple ones. But does it take a load off Manny?
Have you ever had any issues with Dai-Riki hooks? Thank you.
Should have used Big Pink thread!
I see what you did there. Funny thing is, it actually does work well with a Big Pink thread collar. I think what really matters is The Weight.
@@tightlinevideo I salute you, sir...
Hi Tim have you had success with gold or silver beads on this pattern?
How do you fish your nymphs? Tight line or indicator?
Steven W Outdoors I used this with a two fly tightline Nymph rig above a Frenchie. The fish loved this fly
