I stayed at the Centara Resort in Karon and it was very nice...the beach and water is cleaner and it's away from the crazy Bangla Road.
Oh yeah, that must have been so nice! I really like the look and and location of it. Like a hidden paradise ;) I go there sometimes for a day pass

Hi Christian - if you want to be in Patong and have walking distance I like 4 Points by Sheraton and also Double Tree by Hilton. From the video you are commenting on all are so nice, but you need to rent a scooter to get around or taxi all the time.

Pattaya used to be great too, but they decided to be tyrannical pricks and destroyed the place, it is pathetic and dying now. Feel sorry for the poor homeless Thai people there. Phuket has been alive as you see from these videos, it didn't have to be that way for Pattaya.
Hi Rick is it really that bad in Pattaya- I heard new areas are opening up there and I seen some beautiful decorated venues and a new vibe near the Pattaya sign and Pier. Is it really going down hill?
