    Freddie and Roger could meld their voices so well together. They really compliment each other.

    I think this is the fastest version of Under Pressure they did live! From Hot Space there are also some pretty songs like Life Is Real ( dedicated to John Lennon) and Las Palabras De Amor.....not a funk/black category songs)))

    In these live performances of this song, Roger sings Freddie's part and Freddie sings Bowie's part. This is a great song, I love it live.

    A well deserved nod to Roger Taylor on backing vocals I think. Good performance by all.
    Really hope you react to the Innuendo album at some point in time. It's well worth a listen Justin. Thanks.

    Milton Keynes was quite a learning curve for the band, they were beginning to swtich from indoor arenas, to outdoor stadiums. Milton, I believe, is considered an outdoor arena, sort of smoothing the transition.

    Sounds great live. Yes this is the Working Man of this album. Stands far above all the other tracks. Under Pressure is one my favorites. For me their standout track from the 80’s.

    Great song. I usually like the live versions of Queen songs because they tend to be faster but in this specific case I like the studio version better, a bit slower.

    It's interesting that although this was a number one hit for both Queen and Bowie, David Bowie never performed it live until the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. It became a staple of Queen concerts from 1981 onwards. I disagree with you that the previous three songs from Hot Space that you've reacted to are "garbage", but I do generally value your opinion which is why I subscribed. Looking forward to what's next....

      Yeah, I've grown to love HS over time. Favs are "Life is Real" and "Cool Cat". I think Justin would like those two as well, but alas. As for the Bowie comment, as much as we would like it to have been so, they didn't end their collaboration on good terms. If you watch the Freddie tribute, you'll notice Bowie doesn't once acknowledge the band. Doesn't even look at them when he walks off! Everyone else is all hugs. Should also be noted, he was the only one to play his own tracks, not Queens. Hmmm

    It's Fantastic!!!! (Roger joined in for the Bowie vocals. (tho, only some, I'm thinking). P.S., on this live rendition, we don't get Freddie's amazing high notes near the end.

    Hot Space does have some good stuff on it. The other songs you did from that album are better on the record. You should still listen to it you might be surprised by a few of the songs. Compared to all their other albums though, even the ones after, its fairly lame.

    An undeniable classic...I miss Bowie's "watchin' some good friends screamin' let me out." Differing tastes make the world go round...but songs like "Cool Cat" are really more George Michael(esque), and other Hot Space songs just lack interest for me...Brian's solo in "Put Out the Fire" is good, but? btw..."Finding my Way" rocks J.!! even with Zeppelin influence. lol

    • @peaceofiona9198
      @peaceofiona9198 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In 1982 nobody have heard about George Michael yet it's rather opposite. And in Cool Cat case which is for me best song on Hot Space thank God David Bowie demanded his vocals to be erased. Song only benefits from it. Listening that thumping bass in Dancer I can't stand still and Brian May's solo on this song is also fire.

    • @danarchuleta1154
      @danarchuleta1154 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@peaceofiona9198 My comment was that the song was more "in the style" of George Michael, and perhaps more appropriate for him than Freddie and Queen. And, btw...Wham's first release was in 81.' My point is that if I'm listening to that style, I'd prefer something like "Too Funky." I agree that Michael was probably influenced by Freddie...not sure? I know he performed with Queen. The bass line on Dancer is either a synth or a synth effect and performed by Brian originally...I'd consider the bass line in "Another one bites the dust" to be more "thumping" in tone. Sorry, but I like Bowie, but as Neil Peart writes, "The spaces in between leave room for you and I to Grow." Entre Nous! Cheers!
