Yayyyyy!! Milton Keynes is my favorite Queen concert! Love this song with that bass driven beat! So good! “Action This Day” was a red propaganda sticker promoted by Winston Churchill during WWII. FYI - Brian’s father carried a banjole (ukulele banjo)🪕 during WWII, which Brian learned to play before the guitar!! 🎸

He was about to sing "Play the game'🔥. Milton Keynes is my favourite Queen live concert.

"Hot Space" is such an underrated album from Queen. People claim it is a pure disco album, but that is a whole load of nonsense. It has loads of rockers, and the vibe of it is just great! I loved it back then and I love it now. An album that has grown REAL WELL throughout the years.
The albums after, "The Works" and "The Miracle" not so much, mostly due to the horrendous 80's synths they saturated most of the songs with.
"A Kind of Magic" and "Innuendo" are both awesome albums though; great return to form.

"Staying Power" is the best performance from the same live album.

I've seen many others say this. I don't get it. I think it's an awful song....studio and live. But I appreciate differences in musical taste and glad to know that it's one that you like.

I am wicked excited that you are doing songs from Milton Keynes! Freddie at the height of his powers! I really like this song and of course the duet by Roger and Freddie. It's great that you are going to sample the Budapest concert as well. Thanks, Justin.

I don't think Budapest should be an issue. It is a very nicely recorded concert so you will enjoy seeing them in such high quality.
At Milton Keynes, they give a great performance for every song, even if you don't like the Hot Space stuff so much. :)

    OMG Justin,
There’s a REASON that the Milton Keynes gig was called “FIRE AT THE BOWL”…
Even songs that you’ve heard before: You’ve never heard them like this!
There are several songs played live here that are NOT included in any other concert on-video.
This show also includes the most ICONIC bit of audience improv by Fred ever: He sits on the edge of the stage, legs swinging over the audience, and says: “Come on, I’m gonna make you sing like Aretha Franklin!”
Freddie’s (SADLY, much overlooked) performance of “Somebody To Love” played here, is SO MUCH BETTER than the famous Montreal version… THIS is the rendition that Queen included in their compilation of Best Live Performances.
The whole show is Fred at his absolute PEAK vocally!
(While I also love Budapest, it does have mostly the same set list as Wembley.)🫶

    HEYYYY JUSTIN!!
I have to respectfully “not agree” with the statement that this isn’t a good live song??? I freaking LOVE THIS PERFORMANCE!! AND this entire Milton Keynes “Fire At The Bowl”, it’s my FAV concert.🤩

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, you listened a Hot Space song!!! Maybe not the best, but a solid rock song... Many people think that if the album had had this more rock treatment (myself included), the story would have been different, I still like Hot Space like when it came out, and although it is a very different album from the others, it doesn't deserve all the bad press it has...

I didn’t like this song at first, either, Justin😄
…A lot of us are attracted to different aspects of music, like you mentioned the guitars. For me, EVERYTHING is about the vocals… so this performance grew on me, just because Fred’s vocals are just like: “WOW”!

The keyboardist is Morgan Fisher from Mott the Hopple, a band Queen idolized. Try "Staying Power" from the same concert, another Hot Space track, Brian plays flat out!

Please check out the opener for this concert Justin!! It's one of the best openers. Hero/We will rock you fast version. I know you said you don't wanna hear We will rock you again, but if you haven't seen this or heard the fast version you seriously should! Glad to have you back on some Queen!

It's so good to see you back on track with Queen! I wasn't expecting this live reaction (considering it's full of Hot Space songs). But well, those songs sound better live than in the album in my opinion, they rock them out way more (with less synth/drum machine and more guitars and actual drums). Freddie energy is over the top at this concert (as always xD), I guess because he was pretty excited with the new stuff they were making. Not the greatest camera work or sound quality in this one, but they sound great and pretty energized.

This is just great Justin! Continue please Sir! I didnt see that these shows, Milton and Budapest were blocked in someones reactions recently! Also here Brian uses a copy of his Red Special that appeared on We Will Rock and Spread Your Wings videos!

Forgot to say that some of the songs that you have covered before are well worth checking out too as the performances of them have evolved and both concerts sound great. E.g. Somebody to Love from Milton Keynes, Now I'm Here from Budapest.

Have strep throat and this healed me ✌🏼 I don’t care about the boring song. Just love Queen Live 😂 ( and Roger’s drums and Freddie’s foot were in a long term relationship )

Glad you are back to Queen. To me this song is a highlight on Hot Space, which tells you all you need to know about Hot Space. For me the studio version is better, but it's still a very middling song. The best I can say about it is that when I bought the album on the day it was released and did my first play through (this was the 5th song, or last song on the first side of the LP) it made me stop crying.

The live version of all hot space songs are much better than the studio. Except under pressure and cool cat.

Nothing of Queen usually gets blocked--I've been watching reactions for years. However they have sold their catalog to Sony for $1.27 Billion and once that sale is finalized Sony may start blocking their stuff. This entire concert is great and some songs like this one are from Hot Space--better live--but I do like that album so hopefully you don't skip it if you decide to do the rest of their albums.

I love the live version of this song. All four are killing the ending. The sound isn't great though. The Tokyo '82 version is 100% better sound. No video but you can actually HEAR Roger! The camera work is horrendous to not show Roger when he is singing half the song. Nobody seems to get blocked with any live shows so I wouldn't worry. Freddie's voice is better at Budapest than Wembley in '86 and Budapest is such a special vibe. People came from all over the Soviet Union to watch it. There is behind the scenes footage as well.

Not the best Queen song from Hot Space. From this concert you might want to try Back Chat from the Hot Space album if you would like. Thanks for going back to some Queen and I do not think Budapest or Wembley should be a problem for you.

To be honest the stuff you have not heard from the flash soundtrack and hot space don’t translate to live performances very well. I hope you reconsider finishing the catalogue there are some hidden gems that were not done live but are great album tracks

I think Action This Day is clearly the worst of the 3 Hot Space songs they did during this concert, I would even say its inferior to the studio version, as Freddie is clearly struggling with the the higher vocal parts. Back Chat is ok, a bit better than the studio version and Staying Power is fantastic.

Freddie is not struggling at all. But the song is up and down, he hasing low and then he has to sing high.

Freddie's and Roger's vocals on this live performance are great.
      Raw and energetic.
And his movements are not to be despised either.
