- Sky News host Peta Credlin slams the government’s “stupidity” for penalising the resources sector.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was met with an unfavourable reception at the mining industry’s annual parliamentary dinner.
“The PM doesn't seem to get that it's the resources sector that sustains our high standard of living,” Ms Credlin said.
“This is a government that penalises the projects that we know make us rich; while it promotes, with your money, the projects that are likely to make us poor.”

Raids on mining royalties is exactly what needs to happen. These mining companies don't "prop up" our budget, they take their profit offshore into holdings companies and pay next to no tax in Australia. Why do you think we pay through nose for our own gas when is should be cheap as chips. It might not be the solution but you can't blame the government for trying to make our energy sector more independent from these companies by going renewable.
