So these are the Sony WH-CH720N, now personally I am very excited to make this video for multiple reasons. First off, I used to love the Sony WH-CH700N’s… but when the WH-CH710N’s came around, they were an all around disappointment. They got the job done… but there were so many downgrades to them. But now, there are the WH-CH720N’s which I feel have redeemed Sony… and I will admit, when I first unboxed these headphones, I was a little disappointed and unimpressed. But now, the WH-CH720N’s have managed to win me over.

Was extremely interested in these and went into Sony Store to try them but they didn't have display units at the time. However they did have WH-1000XM4's heavily discounted. Wanted new cans for noise cancellation and the owner informed me that even with the V1 chip the WH-CH720N's won't be as good as the XM4 or 5's. So ended up getting the XM4's.This review also confirmed the same, so thanks! But still seems like a good pair of headphones for the money
How much did you get the xm4’s for?
I’m in the same situation, I want some headphones to replace my AirPod pros for the gym because earbuds mess up my ears.

Absolutely thrilled that I saw this video! I had a pair of WHCH 700Ns that finally died after years of use and I wanted to buy some brand new, but found it hard to find, so I got a pair of 720s instead! Glad to know that my worries are unwarranted, thank you for going into the details!
What do you think of Ch720n since you bought it ? And How long have you owned the ch700Ns ?
I’m in the same boat. My 700s are pushing 3.5 years. It’s at the point the battery is starting to go for good, so I’m starting to consider a new set.

Simply put sony improved with this iteration of WH 720 N nice to see.. These are more comfortable to wear and block out noice better than it's predecessor along with an EQ function setup.... Built wise also quality has improved... As always nice review and walk around.... 👍
If you had to choose between the two, would you recommend these or the 910N? I love my LinkBuds S, and want a quality similar to those in a Sony headset.

P.S. I think you didn't even mention the fact that this has the same NC processing chip as the XM5. And that is AWESOME. Other sources plaster that like it means the same NC performance, but that's just not true.
im glad that you enjoy the videos. I try to add as much info as I can, stuff that you can't find on the spec sheet. and yes, there will be a versus video where the ANC on the WH-CH720N is compared to the XB910N, XM4, and XM5. Im going to edit that video today. and it'll go live on Friday.
@@GYMCADDY Actually ended up ordering the Soundcore Q45! But keeping the option open that I'll return them and and get the XB910N or WH-CH720N if they seem a better fit after seeing the comparison!

Currently I am rocking the 710N's and am looking to upgrade to either the 720N's or the sennheiser HD 450BT/458BT (both of these headphones are now close to105 dollars in where i live) but am not sure about the right one to pick. I'd be coming off the wh710n ch and I like moderate bass boost. If that's missing from the eq app, I'll be highly disappointed. I do like the crisper phone audio with the 730n mic. My 710n is muddy on the phone.

I'm conflicted. I want a pair of headphones for the gym and sound quality is my priority. I can either get these for $150 or wait until the XM4's go on sale for $230-250 at some point. Do you think it would be worth waiting for those and spending the $100 extra, or should I just go ahead and pull the trigger on these?
I think the XM4's are too cramped and bulky for the gym when compared to the WH-CH720N

It's been a month and 9 days since I got my WC-CH720N's and I've been using them daily at the gym. They're fantastic. They sound great, big upgrade from my Galaxy Buds (which were also great, just not enough power behind them), very lightweight, the battery lasts forever, and so far all the sweat hasn't affected them. My only gripe is that the drivers end up poking my ears every now and then until I adjust them. But other than that I'm happy with the purchase. Hopefully they last a long time.

Probably too late but it's worth the extra money 100% the 520 are uncomfortable and get very hot, especially for gym

Im really up to sony headphones but i find myself with a major problem to me, the comfort of the 520n's. dont get me wrong, theyre confortable as an on ear pair of headphones can be, but this is not the case for me after some hours of listening, im seriously thinking in upgrading from the 520n's to the 720n's and since i dont know anyone who has them, only thing i can do is guide myself with the internet and reviews, does anyone recommend this upgrade? i need to know if it's entirely worth the money.

I have the 710Ns but I’m having an issue with them. When I’m using them they automatically make this click sound and turn off while I’m using them. There’s still battery and everything but they’ll just randomly shut off. Anyone having this problem or have found solutions?

Nope. I haven’t had that issue
I find that if I have them extended a little too far I can feel the microphones touching my ear. It took me a bit to find the right amount of extension to avoid it.
How this compare to soundcore q30 / q35 ?
Especially when it comes to ANC.
And wearing comfort.

I got the q30s and the anc is honestly really good it really amazed me cause they costed 60 dollars for me
@@amdmahmd7432 I have the Q30s and have been comparing those to the new WH-CH720Ns I got from Amazon. Q30s have more bass, but the sound of these Sony headphones is cleaner to me. They have a flatter sound than the Q30s, less emphasis on the bass. However, I do find music on the Q30s to be a little more exciting (specially dance/hip hop type music). I feel these Sony's are better suited to metal which is good because I love my black/death metal.
@@alfredoalejandro87 Put some killswitch engage “my curse”. Can you eq the Sony to pick out the instruments in the intro of the song or does it sound distorted? Its one of the very first songs I test for in separation

- Good Transparancy
- Great Battery Life
- Looks Good
Cons:
- Less Bass
- Ok ANC
- Button Controls (hard to distinguish sometimes)
- No Carry Case
XB910N:
Price: €131
Pros:
- Light enough
- Good Fit
- Great Sound
- Extra Bass (Just like the name suggests)
- Good ANC
- Great Transparancy
- Good Battery Life
- Touch Controls (depends on personal preference)
- Carry Case
Cons:
- Can get a little uncomfortable after a few hours of continuous use
- Looks a bit bulky
Depending on the location, price can vary a lot between the two. So my suggestion for those who are considering one of these two can go with XB910N if the price difference is less.

But if your main preference is bass then go for XB910N

@@oscarramirez5632 Sounds like you’re trying to justify the purchase of those headphones. The qc 35 or45 sound like ur basic btch. The bose 700 sound alot better in my opinion with bass response and detailed mids but sck baby dck with pairing and connectivity issues. I don’t remember if either had multi point but I think only the qc45 did if anything. Returned both. The xm3 sounded muddy af like my arsehole after spicy Indian food. So far I’ve only kept my momentum 4. I’ve tried the sonoflow and soundcore q45 which are disgraceful artificial eq mess but they are meant for the typical consumer who doesn’t really know what good should be. Im planning on buying the new mh40 3rd gen if the reviews praise the sound in a way to my liking. Ty come again

I've been using the Sony WH1000XM3's for the past couple of years. The ANC died about two years ago and i really miss it. I was wondering how the sound quality compares to the WH-CH720N's, since im not willing to pay another €350 for headphones. Is there anyone that can compare them for me? Is it worth switching to the 720N's?
For ANC, most people say that the 1000XM3 has similar ANC to the xb910n and since the 720n isn’t far behind, you won’t be disappointed there.
