Thank you for this! I can only do it with heels! Otherwise I can’t grasp it…I just practice half time until I build up coordination, then I will do it in real time. I’m not in a hurry. I discovered that to help the diagonal movements of the hip it helps to move forward foot toe slightly outward, then to help that leg move out on its way to moving back the toes can press down to launch that foot on the way to moving behind. It’s such a natural movement that once one gets one’s body oriented, it can be effortless. Of course posture is also key! No wonder Brazilian girls make such good models!
