  • Taxco has some surprisingly good food! If you’re wondering what to eat in Taxco, then you’re at the right video. We show a variety of street food, rooftop restaurants, local spots, and bars in this pueblo magico.
    The state of Guerrero is known for its pozole, barbacoa, and mole rosa. Taxco is a great place to try all of these!

      @@EatBailaTravel If you are ever again in CDMX, go to, uh, Pozole de Moctezuma or something like that. There's no sign outside, just a dude at the door. For more info, see the video posted on the channel En Los Zapatos de Monica, de hace una o dos semanas. Pozole verde to die for. My favorite food. So I went on an art and food tour in CDMX and we stopped at this very authentic hole-in-the-wall place that served only pozole. It looked and smelled amazing and I was SOOO bummed because I am vegetarian so of course I couldn’t eat it. I wonder if there is any vegetarian pozole in Mexico? But maybe that would be considered sacrilege 😂

    • @EatBailaTravel
      @EatBailaTravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      there's gotta be vegetarian pozole out there! I would type "pozole vegetariano" into Google maps where ever you are next in Mexico and see if anything pops up around you.

    My parents were from Jalisco and only cooked white pozole. Red pozole was just white pozole with hot sauce added in. (Tapatio. Do you guys have Tapatio hot sauce in Chicago?) But the best pozole is the one your mother makes.

    • @EatBailaTravel
      @EatBailaTravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's interesting because red pozole comes from Jalisco but defenitely not cooked cooked or mixed with tapatio. We do have Tapatio in Chicago but would normally use it on popcorn or chips.
