- Guys, the quality of these axles is amazing! This is my first Vitavon part and I'm very impressed. I see why Joe at Exocaged RC tricks out his rigs in Vitavon parts. The install of these is very straightforward and it all goes together very easily. I love how they put the pinion and diff together before they go into the axles (you'll see what I mean in the video). The Treal Axles were sold out, I'm still waiting on the Hesse Machine axles to be produced, and these came up as available, so I had to give them a try. So glad I did!
These axles are now sold out again, but will be available via their ebay store.

The more I see of your LMT videos the more I want one.
I wanted one as soon as it was revealed! Things are RAD and I been wanting to built a solid axle scale MT. almost bought an axial but this came out PERFECT TIMING.
The Vitavon stuff just keeps looking better and better. I know Joe @ Exocage is a big fan.

I went the treal on my son digger because I thought the vitavons were to expensive but now that one install system is probably a better way . I did do the 4 wheel steering like the real deal . Had to get the wider hex to stop the treal wheels rubbing on the links when turning. But it turned out and an super happy with all the treal upgrades. Might do vitavon on the digger.

Dude these look crazy awesome
Somethings a noticeable to me with those axles are the shock mounts look just like the ones on a XXXT rear arm and it's a nice touch adding a Ford 9in style "pumpkin" for the diff to be held in by. Forward a thought for me, have the "pumpkin" available separately. That way you can have quick change gearing for different track surfaces. Overall, very cool design. Hope they have an SMT version.

Maybe Losi should mold a hunk of plastic and machine the axle out of that instead of trying to injection mold it. Would be a little more expensive, but would be a good medium between the molded and the machined aluminum.
Every video I see on Vitavon parts the more I am impressed with their machine work.
Hey Tony, Between You and the boys over at Trigger King, I'm hooked on these Solid Axle Trucks. So thank you for that! I first did a couple Smt10 based builds, a Sport Mod and a Pro Mod. Lots of money but totally worth it! (Though my wife would disagree with that statement). I now have finally gotten my hands on an Lmt. Here's where my question lies, In your opinion, should I go aluminum axles right out of the box, or are the Freestyle braces adequate? For what its worth I will be running the rig on 2s exclusivley, it borders on uncontrollable on 3s in my opinion. Thanks in advance, Austin.

Do you think these will also fit on an SMT?
what was the red stuff you put on? Do I have to lube any parts when changing the axle housing?
I put Blue Threadlocker on screws going into metal and put some CowRC udder butter waterproof grease on bearings and the axle shafts to lube them.

I already installed the Treal on both my LMT'S the diff assembly looks easier with the Vitavon tho butt my trade off is Treal are easier to buy & just as durable, so Tony was chatting with Exocaged do you know if the Reefs 400sc V3 servo works on the LMT or what Reefs do you use? thank's for sharing Tony 😉👍

Can’t say yet. These were easier to install. But the Treal have been fantastic. Haven’t tested these more than 1 battery pack yet
I only have one question:
What breaks when the axles don't have any flex?
A rod end so far. But that was after a lot of abuse.

did you buy those axles off of eBay from China? I’ve seen a lot of their product on eBay, but have never bought directly from China.
I wonder if RPM will get involved?
doubt it. Not sure what parts they'd make for it. Solid Axle is a different animal than the parts they typically make. They have flexible plastic, which is great for suspension arms, but would be bad for an axle like this.
I would like to buy these, but I only see them available directly from China. Anybody here in the States carry these.

Why do you put grease on the outside of sealed bearings. It just attracts dirt.
Because I clean them with a hose.
