Can we take a moment to appreciate the new fancy fingernails 🤩. You're just glowing lately! This was a VERY valuable comparison video! Your content is always so valuable to watch. Definitely make more like these, thanks Jen. 🩷
I LOVE your presentations. Especially the thoroughness of your comparisons. You cover minutia like color, weight, texture and sheen in a way we can clearly see in your demos. How you can possibly keep track of everything you have in your collection to put it all together for us, is truely amazing. Thank you for all the work you put into each video. Not a bad one in the bunch.
Thank you so much for doing unsponsored content so you can be honest about whether something is truly unique or not! It saves us all a ton of money. 🥳❤️
And you don't have to listen (or ff) minutelong chatter about some random things that often have nothing to do with the other content. Really appreciate that, too. 😊💜
Are you saying that if she did sponsor content, she would lie about it? I'm sorry, but this is a dumb comment. While I might not always agree with Jen's reviews because we have different skin types, it doesn't mean she would lie because she is sponsored or not. If the TH-camr wants to be an honest person, they will be an honest person regardless if they are getting paid or not. She gets PR, so she is getting something from the companies . Might not be money for the video but the product, and I would like to think she is honest with her review regardless of whether she received it free or not.
I’m glad you showed baked blushes. I live in the south with near 100% humidity in the summer. Baked products last so much longer compared to jelly/cream textures that literally slide off the face. I don’t use matte setting sprays or powder my cheek area because of my skin texture.🩷
I have watched all of the influencers I subscribe to rating the Mario bronzer but it wasn’t until I watched you that I made my decision. I truly trust your opinions and or recommendations ❤
having similar stuff already is such a common occurrence for makeup consumers today, i’d say 😂 sooooo many products seem to resemble others already available. and even if we know that, it can be really hard to avoid the hype 😭 that being said, makeup releases have been really fun this year, i feel.
You and I are both fans of the cooler toned blushes, but Blissed from Kosas looked EXTREMELY good on you! It looked absolutely natural and radiant and very very youthful! Gorgeous on you.
Wow! Those Kosas baked blushes swatched like they were creams. Very pretty...and what an incredibly useful video. Thanks for doing all that work for us.
At this point, what it boils down to for me is finding those cooler colors. I have avoided bronzer for so long due to those early days orange formulas, but now that I've found a few great rosy or neutral tones I'm starting to wear it more. This is an issue I have with all product types though. So I'm watching to see what colors do I get excited about. There are definitely some beautiful options here. Thanks, Jen!
Same! I didn't use bronzer the majority of my life. Everything was super orange or yellow, not to mention way too dark as well. I'm quite pale and very cool-toned (grey, sooner than pink). The last few years, it seems some brands finally got the 💡, as I now have actual cool toned bronzers with some reddish/pink or greyer-brown tones, that do not look dirty either and that are affordable. For now, it's mostly powder bronzers, but the cream bronzer (named a Chanel dupe) by Revolution is a start. Could be a bit cooler for my taste, but a light hand gives a great look in summer. The lightest putty bronzer by E.L.F is unfortunately too cool for a bronzer. More contour. I'll have a look at all these liquid ones she's shown for a 2nd time. I'm on a drugstore budget and prefer luminosity and not a shimmer, so I'm not sure I'll find anything. If you have tips, I'm all ears! (I still haven't found a good enough BB cream or foundation either, even though I'm close to 47yo, but I'm less focused on that as I don't use a base often).
I have to admit, I ran, not walked, to get the Mario bronzer! IMO it’s the product of the summer! It’s gorgeous and worth the money. And yes, I would have had major fomo! I had considered the Saie, so thanks for reviewing!!
I just received the Rare Beauty Bronzer in a Boxycharm box, and it is beautiful for cool tone girls like us. The shade is Bright Side. It's a very creamy blendable formula even though it's in a stick.
Oh this was so fun! I just love your powerhouse knowledge in comparing products & brands. Love your nails. You're beautiful. Thank you for being here !
Was so happy to see the IT Cosmetics cream blonzer product in this video! That one has been so intriguing to me, and I’m happy to see it wouldn’t be a waste as it doesn’t seem to match anything else in my collection either. Thanks for the great feedback, Jen! So grateful for the time you spend to help us avoid wasting money. You are truly appreciated!
Good idea for a video, Jen! As you say, sometimes we can save money by not buying the 'new' hypes and finding something in our collection already. I have been guilty of this after I get it home and then find another item I already had that was similar. Ugh! could have saved some money. btw, your nails look so pretty. So does your hair. Good work all around.
Thanks so much for this video. I’ve been wearing makeup for 30 years so I’m hard pressed to find something truly unique to my collection. I love the Laura Gellar blushes so I don’t see any reason to try the Kosas. I’ve been very curious about the Haus Labs one, but I think I’ll probably just grab one of the Kaja and maybe a Flower one.
Such a fabulous video. Loved that you showed both high end and affordable. I adore luxury makeup but I’m not adverse to buying less expensive makeup. I have a tip. I apply, Aquaphor Lip Repair stick prior to any matte lip product. The Aquaphor Stick isn’t greasy or shiny but it goes on smoothly and keeps my lips moisturized. It’s also great for chapped or just dry lips.😊
Good timing on this video, Jen! I’m looking through my collection and seeing if there’s stuff I don’t want anymore. I have a Colourpop liquid blush that I bought over 18 months ago that I love the color but I can’t remember the last time I used it. Plus I have a lot of debt already from FOMO so I need to try to get on a better track.
Mario really does great shades, tones in his bronzer products. I'm cool toned skin also and everything looks orange on me. But his products are so good. That one looks like it has a tiny bit of pink in it too., and great idea with the packaging.. I can't wait to get my hands on it. Thanks for doing this and showing all the differences in each product. It really helps. 😊
The Mario bronzer definitely looked better than the SAIE, even on camera. What I need is a all out comparison of all the "bronzie" drops now that ELF has a new one. I need one that's not really warm (neutral is best) and so many have been released you seem the best person to do it!
Another great video Jen!❤️. I so look forward to your “New Make-up” videos. Your dedication to honest and thoughtful reviews is very appreciated. I’d love a roundup of your favorite cool-toned blushes (especially purple ones😉). Thank you for all you do on your channel. Love & Prayers for you and your family. 🌻💛
Great video idea! I’m resisting the very tempting Kosas blushes because I have so many glowy blushes from NARS, RMS, Hourglass and Milani that I already love and use regularly. Thanks for all the comparisons ❤
Thank you Jen! Want to see an update on your new skincare *I think mostly Korean beauty? Needing to restock and trust your reviews and even though I'm a LOT older have pretty much same skin needs
This made a lot of sense to me. I watched Johnny Ross podcast yesterday and it was all about makeup and how they come up with ideas and trends. Really interesting. It is like yours is a spin off of that. Definitely saving me money. And I do not love super shiny cheek products. Just not it for me. Being 47, they don't work for me. Just saying. Great vid and job, Jen. 👏 ❤
I saw the title and giggled because I looked at both my Sephora and Ulta carts and asked myself that 😁😁😁 I’m glad I’m not the only one who questions themselves 🤣🤣 not to start controversy… some like Temu and some don’t but I tried their dupe for the Pixie and Milk blush sticks and I liked the Temu more 😮 and they were under $5
I love this approach to assessing new products, so helpful and avoiding the whole “dupe” approach. I mostly buy makeup at Sephora so knowing if a new release is close to something I have is so helpful. Thank you!
I guess I’m unusual (heck, I *know* I am, haha), but as a pale, cool-toned gal, no one has ever really sold me on “needing” (or even actually wanting) bronzer. I don’t want to look like I’ve gotten any sun.
another very pale very cool toned gal here!!! i also don't use bronzer; i actually use a purpley mauve blush as bronzer sometimes, because it looks so much more natural and not orange
From someone who can’t buy alot or has shop smart , this has been so helpful. Pur did the packaging before Mario I remember everyone loved the packaging. Kosas reminded me somewhat of the the hourglass. The way they look and the Laura Gellar kinda
Your nails look very pretty Jen! I don’t usually notice things like nails, but they look so natural but lovely! Thank you for all the comparisons! It really saves me money when I realize I have so many similar products already!
28 minutes in and just noticed your nails! I guess not everyone focuses on them 😄 They look nice, but also know that not everyone cares if your nails are chipped 💜 Back in 2000, I had a lady at an office job complain about my chipped nails. Because I was 20 years old, a student, and didn't have children, she assumed I had enough time in my life to keep my nails looking perfect. 🤷🏻♀️
Absolute best reviews ever! I love that your videos are always so in debth and way different then every one elses! You definitely stand apart from the rest! Thank you Jen!!
the only things i definitely want to pick up are the euphoria or swoon blushes from kosas, and the revlon bronzing product you mentioned from amazon. the alter ego palette looks gorgeous on your eyes!!! 💜💜💜
Hi Jen, LG has three new Blush n Brighten shades (all matte) on her website, one of which is a cool shade called Summer Orchid. Thought you might be interested....there are several other cool shades on the website.
I love your nails but I also loved your natural ones. I know people were rude but you were special by being yourself. Not enough real honest people on YT. Please don't take this as negative comment because you are beautiful, smart and nice no matter what. 💗
Thank you, I appreciate that! 🥰It might seem coincidental that I recently complained about people commenting on my nails, and now I've started wearing these but the truth is, I've been getting those comments for years and it's never made me want to change. It's just that I got these in PR and I haven't worn press-ons in years so I figured I would test them out before reviewing them. :)
I was so surprised how good the caliray bronzer looked! This is the second video I am watching if yours and I love how you compare the products to other brands…the kosas blush is what I’ve been waiting for in a blush
Your nails look fantastic!!! Have you tried the liquid blushes from ciele yet? I love the one I have! Plus, it says it has sunscreen in it, and I’m all about that since my skin cancer a couple of years ago.
I love this video content. I am always foaming at the mouth for all the new releases. It just all looks so perfect and lovely. After watching lots of reviews I am reminded that I already own similar stuff. Having you find products that are similar is super helpful! Thank you Jen for helping me realize I don’t need everything and my wallet thanks you as well!
Thank you so much for all the hard work in comparing current products with less expensive similar products. I appreciate you always looking out for my wallet!!
I love your videos! You always help us with all your knowledge! Im on a no buy right now sadly! But im making a list of your recommendations! Thank you so much for what you do! ❤❤❤
So happy you picked the physicians formula for a Mario alternative because I mix the PF with my foundation daily and love it!!! Been seeing the Mario one all over TH-cam and have been jonesing to get it but I put myself on a makeup moratorium for while!! Thank you Jen for relieving my FOMO!!!❤
Thanks for your reviews it is so helpful when i am trying to decide on certain products. I’ll have to say i will be doing a switch in one product for another one you reviewed!
The It blush looked the best on you, the most natural at least on camera. I know you prefer cool tones and that’s ok on your eyes and lips but you need the contrast of something warmer on your cheeks IMO
Love your reviews! The cream blush from IT cosmetics looks very similar in texture and finish to the Tower28 and the new Buxom cream blushes! BOTH of which I’ve been super obsessed with!
Half of the focus was on your nails when they were on-screen and the other half on the makeup you did,all of it was beautiful and stunning 💝 And even some of the items that we had gotten maybe a couple of weeks still works the same way as the new items especially if it's one you know well but it is helpful to see someone who's not sponsored options on these items coming out
Hi Jen, this style of video is so helpful when considering purchasing a particular product & brand some brands offer you more for your money than other, especially in shades, I very much appreciate all your hard work that you put into this wonderful video. Love Katherine xoxo
I just bought Bubble from persona and their berry color. I saw Andreea Ali from Paris using Bubble It's not a good color for the lips but pretty blush, the berry color is good both ways I'm 61 and need a bit of sheen to my complexion without looking greasy. My very favorite is WestmanAtelier in Petal, but it's pricey and well worth it. I still have over an inch left after 5 months of using practically ever day
Thank you very much Jen for comparing all the bronzer and blush formulas, it seems that if something is in trend all the brands do the same, it is fun and at the same time unfortunate, because I would like the brands to make different and unique products. It seems to me that one of the few brands that makes unique products is Danessa Myrics regardless of whether I like their products or not. A big hug from Chile 🥰
Can we take a moment to appreciate the new fancy fingernails 🤩. You're just glowing lately! This was a VERY valuable comparison video! Your content is always so valuable to watch. Definitely make more like these, thanks Jen. 🩷
Aw thank you! I got some press-ons in PR and I've been having fun trying them out. :)
Love the wee nails too ❤
@@JenPhelpsoh my goodness I just started doing press ons and it’s been absolutely ~life changing~
They look great. I thought you went to a salon.
I like that you show high-end and and less expensive to compare.

Thank you so much for doing unsponsored content so you can be honest about whether something is truly unique or not! It saves us all a ton of money. 🥳❤️
Her content on this particular video is being paid for by the 12 products listed in her bio as well as TH-cam.
That said, she's still a definite favorite for me. IF she isn't telling you EVERYTHING, It's not for a lack of her trying.

She gets a small profit if someone buys a product from the link

The Covergirl bronzer is very pretty.
Wow! Those Kosas baked blushes swatched like they were creams. Very pretty...and what an incredibly useful video. Thanks for doing all that work for us.
Those cool toned pink blushes look SO PRETTY on you!
Thank you for talking me out of the Saie bronzer because I honestly already love love love the Moira liquid bronzer!!!

That, and I think Jen does a lot of prep for her videos. She makes it look easy, but I'm pretty sure it isn't.

Agreed. Your nails are beautiful Jen!

Aww thanks Lena! Thank YOU for being here. 🥰🥰🥰
this is why I love your channel Jen! Thank you for all the comparisons and giving us a mix of drugstore and high end options!

I thought the Saie product looked awfully dark on Jen. It's a matter of taste, of course.
I hope you know how much we value and appreciate your detail and thoroughness! Thank you for this video!
Love this format. The compatsions are helpful.
Wow! You look like a bronzed goddess! That orange is so pretty on you!
I love the idea that makeup by Mario came out with the liquid bronzer. I love the pump and applicator. More companies should do that 💗😏

Oooooo…..love that mani. Perfect for summer.
I like the sheer formula of the Mariio. Much better than having to correct an over application, I have the crème soft sculpt which I love xxx
Great video, thank you so much! It is so easy to just keep buying and not look at what you already have, thanks for keeping it real.

I use it as blush. I don’t like blush tones on me but bronzer in that placement does the job.

Half of the focus was on your nails when they were on-screen and the other half on the makeup you did,all of it was beautiful and stunning 💝
And even some of the items that we had gotten maybe a couple of weeks still works the same way as the new items especially if it's one you know well but it is helpful to see someone who's not sponsored options on these items coming out
Thank you Jen for all your honest comparisons . What would I do without you ? I’d spend too much money ,that’s for sure 😅
Thank you for this. I’d been eyeing the Lawless, but I already have the Colourpop. 🎉
These videos are so amazing. Thank you so much! It makes me feel so much better about not buying a lot of new stuff!
Love the format.
Btw. The Lawless Blushes in Angel & Rosebud...what are comparable drugstore options for those two blushes?
Hi Jen, this style of video is so helpful when considering purchasing a particular product & brand some brands offer you more for your money than other, especially in shades, I very much appreciate all your hard work that you put into this wonderful video. Love Katherine xoxo
Your nails look so good! 💅
Jen, I love your new nails!
