Barbara Billingsley, Jive Lady, "Airplane!" Sean Connery, King Richard, "Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves" Edit, Steven King, movie and TV adaptations of his novels
I gotta give it to Liam Neeson. The guy plays a serious role so, so well. The fact he can play such a silly role so straight and be both intimidating and hilarious, not taking himself so seriously, is just great
@kennyboggs3676 lolz. Or do something like the Alien chest-burster scene from Spaceballs, only Liam gets a light blade through his stomach again and says something like "not again" or "I'm bad at this"
His relationship with Seth Macfarlane actually began when, in trademark serious fashion, he contacted Seth to call him out for his family guy cutaway mocking his inability to hide his Irish accent in most roles by portraying him as a cowboy that sounded the farthest thing from "southern". Liam either didn't understand or pretended not to understand why Seth did cutaways and contacted him to ask what he ever did to Seth to deserve being called out. Seth apologized by saying if he ever needed to cast a cowboy in a movie Liam would be the first person he called.
There were many other better cameos. NPH in Harold and Kumar, Donald Trump in Hone Alone 2, Mickael Jackson in MIB2, Bill Murray in Zombieland, literally every Matt Damon cameo
Sorry buddy, but you're dead wrong. Stan's cameos rest well deserved on the top spot. Charlton Hestons cameo should have been WAY higher up though. Perhaps that's what you meant...?
@@SteveRogers-cx2iw Well if i am not mistaken, in the cartoon Logan came back to life as soon as Magneto removed the adamantium from his bones. The revived Wolverine, though now having claws of bone, were even more of a badass than before.
Well, William Shatner destroys everything he touches. He almost haven't a shred of acting tallent. The guy thinks he is the greatest gift to humanity, when in fact he is a curse upon the movie world. It is because of him i haven't been able to watch through a single episode of the original Star Trek. I find it incredible that the franchise survived him.
You guys really missed a chance to showcase one of my favorite lines in movies. When Happy Gilmore is beating Bob and he yells "the price is wrong, Bob!" It just gets me rolling everytime I see it.
I keep telling friends about the Hulk cameo in Gremlins 2. I was a kid and remember thinking the film actually broke, but suddenly you see the gremlins shadows on the screen and the whole Hulk Hogan scene that follows. One of those things that you had to experience only at the movies.
I also saw it in the cinema and the joke worked perfectly. I was sure something went wrong with the reel until we saw the gremlin-shadows. The VHS version made it look like there was a glitch in the tape but it didnt't work as well as the cinema version.
My favorite Stan Lee cameo wasn’t in a Marvel movie, but in DC’s Teen Titans Go to the Movies. Very fitting tribute from a rival (and former employer) to the most legendary figure in the business.
10:45 “Excuse me, I'm Erik Lehnsherr.” “Charles Xavier.” Logan: Go fugg yourself. Short and direct, no long discussion. I'm already looking forward to Deadpool nonstop blabbering at Logan! 😂😂😂
The best part of the Wolverine cameo with Charles and Eric is that they didn't forget it. It's brought back around in Days of Future Past when McAvoy's Xavier returns the favor in the 1970s.
Fun Fact: In the first Men in Black, the end scene where they talk about Bulls Tickets for alien ambassadors and Dennis Rodman being from that planet, the german version had been changed into Concert Tickets and Michael Jackson being the alien. The reply: His disguise is a bit sloppy...
Best part was the title card on the screen “Hey Kids! It’s Mark Hamill” 😂 Honorable mention to legendary cameos of George Carlin as the hitchhiker, Carrie Fisher as the nun, Judd Nelson as the sheriff and Chris Rock as the director. Oh and Ben Affleck playing 2 characters of his from the View Askewniverse(Holden from Chasing Amy and Shannon from Mallrats) as well as himself in the Good Will Hunting 2 spot 😜 “Affleck you da bomb in Phantoms!”
Another Mel Brooks, but so perfect "Silent Movie" where Marcel Marceau appears to give the only spoken word in the movie (ask your parents/grandparents kids)
My personal favorite of this genre is the AutoTrader ads from a few years ago that brought back Bo and Luke Duke trading in the General Lee for a Dodge Viper.
There is no way no matter how great the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar cameo was that it was even the best in the movie, because June Cleaver in airplane is the greatest cameo of all time and the funniest
My late son would have turned 26 this year. I took him to see the Sponge Bob movie. He was quite young at the time, and on the way home from the cinema, I tried to explain to him who Hasslehoff was, including KnightRider. We were still on dial up at the time. Later on I could show him better, but he'd already worked it out.
It obviously has to be Stan Lee given his many, many, many Marvel cameos and his amazing contribution to Marvel itself. They were always amazing to spot. I wish he could have appeared in and seen No Way Home. Personally, I think his cameo in Endgame should have been at Tony’s funeral as like a send off for him too.
If an extended scene list comes thru, Keanu Reeves in Always Be My Maybe should definitely be on it. Too much for this category but it was such a hilarious role for him.
I already always loved and liked Marvel's comicbooks Stan "The Man" Lee's cameos because he is FOREVER uniquely Legendary and King doing cameos NOT only just film but also in comicbooks, Television series, video-games, and many more. 🕷️🕷️🕷️🕸️🕸️🕸️🤘🤘🤟🤟👏👍👍💯💯💯💪💪
Danny Glover in Maverick! It was epic, the “Roger Murtaugh” theme music as ha and Mel Gibson stared at each other, then the famous line, “I’m too old for this shit”
A million ways to die in the west is a great film, and Sara Silverman's character is golden...and Jackson wanted to play Spider-Man and ALMOST played jar jar Binks. Could've been great in the end option 😄
Thank you for mentioning Channing Tatum with the Michael Cera cameo in This Is The End. Using your own “Christopher Walken rule” you can argue that both Emma Watson and Michael Cera are actual characters in the movie while Channing Tatum is literally in one scene, has a face reveal and is never mentioned again. IMO that’s a Top 5 all-time cameo 😂
So many great cameos😁These guys are awesome😀Liam,Steven,Tom,Myke,Michael Jackson,Gwyneth Paltrow,Ema,Ryan,Kareem is awesome😀All of them.Perfect number 1.Stan Lee. Excelsior!😀
Iam not sure if its consider a cameo, but nevertheless Tom Cruise "Les Grossman" in "Tropic Thunder" is for sure the Best "cameo performance Ever. Everytime i think in one of the scenes where Les Grossman enter,i piss my pants from an uncontrollable Laugh. One of the Greatest Hilarious Characters in cinema history.
I remember once in school over 20 years ago, I had a classmate that could remember every single line from a movie after just watching it twice. We talked about Hulk Hogan's cameo in Spy Hard and I mentioned that he was in Gremlins 2. And he was like "Wait, what? Hulk Hogan in Gremlins 2? Me and another friend of mine had to convince him that we did not mistake either the movie or remembering the movie wrong, because he was certain that he never saw Hulk Hogan in Gremlins 2, and we had just talked about that movie the other week so we knew all of us had seen it. It was many years later that I found out there was a version with John Wayne instead, made so the joke would work when you watch the movie at home.
Robert Patrick cameo "The Last Action Hero" was awesome too. Which I know wasn't in this video. I replied at the moment of his cameo in Wayne's World 2.
While Stan Lee is an obvious win on this list for cameos (outranking Alfred Hitchcock’s own cameos)… The Spaceballs cameo with John Hurt humorously reprising his role of Kane from Alien, where a chest burster erupted. THAT won me over. “Oh, no. Not again.” Except this chest burster pulled a Looney Tunes! 🤣 Michael Jackson cameoing in MIB is a bonus! Agent M, all the way!
Billy Idol cemented himself in my mind with that role. As a 90s kid, he always came off as ingenuine to me until I learned people actually took him seriously in his day, and still do. Saw him do his thing in Vegas and it was everything you'd want it to be. I only hope I have half the energy of Billy Idol each and every day. Could be all the cocaine.... And... Funny People should be revisited. Its not nearly as bad as its reputation
How could you forget Gene Hackman as the blind man who encounters Frankenstein's monster (Peter Boyle) in Mel Brooks' fantastic comedy Young Frankenstein?
