I've been to SA twice in the last 2 years (CT and Joburg). For a westerner like me it could not happen without Bolt. I had some great conversations with many of the drivers and they become part of the tourist experience. (I always give a little cash tip)

BOLT DISRUPTED THE TAXI INDUSTRY.......iyooh ( i thought south africa is a free market system) so if i have a business and you also open a business you are DISRUPTING ME,. penuel is just sitting there , not asking important questions like he does with other quests.......pathetic or scared
Whenever the term "disrupt" is used in buisness, usually they are referring to a radical change in the industry due to technological innovations. They are not saying disrupt in the literal sense as your example describes.
Accept challenges and changes....you dont own us and you cant choose a mode of transport for us....stop being greedy and wanna benefit alone...i dont understand how you own roads...

Btw metre taxis pricing didn't make sense either, and the prices were ridiculously overcharged.
you choose what you afford or like ...... i use a train to go to work. i dont like it however taxi is expensive for me ( other people afford the taxi)
I remember 1 guy wanted R200 from jhb cbd to Auckland park in 2009, just crazy

E-hailing is more convenient than taxis.

They destroyed rail transport, how do you expect them to accept bolt ?
