Back in the days, i got this game as gift from a friend. Me first: Don´t wanna play the bad guys! Me after finishing the game: We bring order and peace to the galaxy! Long life the Empire!
Would say the same for Battlefront II 2005's campaign, which made BF2 2017 feel like a travesty with its tiresome defection narrative. Seriously, I wanted an Iden Versio that slowly became unhinged like Walker from Spec Ops: The Line, not whatever fool we got!
@@michaelandreipalon359 iden had so much potential as an imperial character... i also didn't like that they decided to push the story towards defection. and look at what that got her? she ends up running a research facility out in deep space which ends up getting infested with xenomorphs.
Indeed, one of the key elements to the success of this game is how they make you feel Empire is ok and rebels are scum. And that very small piece of music which you refer to, is my personal favorite ever since I played the game in the 90s.
One of the most memorable and unique soundtracks in Star Wars gaming history, alongside the KotOR duology and Republic Commando. Thank the stars and the Force interest in this game increased these days because of X-Wing Alliance Upgrade, its TFTC add-on, and even Squadrons.
18:55 the most complete primary theme battle music loop. But I wished it had carried on longer, there was more to it. This was the iconic portion of the music.
Great remake! I always loved the debriefing moments and the reactions your Commander and Secret Operative pulled when you asked them how many loses you had and such. Made you really care. At least for me.
I've recorded four moar pieces of music. One is the Victory March, one is an ominously quiet theme which can be heard when there are no enemies, the third is the neutral combat theme, and the last one is an "on da way" music which loops when there are neutrals on the level.
The best PC version i have heard so far! But i still think the Mac version is superior in every way. Sound, Instruments and how they are heard in relation. However a merge between these two shoould be interesting to try out. One thing i would like is that you re record the "in game battle" music without interrupting parts such as arrivals and kill music. There are 4 different tracks played. Deep Space patrolling theme, Approaching target Theme, Engage in Dogfight Theme, and Imperial Domination Theme. All dependend on how far you are from an enemy and how the battle is going.

the rebels won...look where that got us!

Always loved how they made the "Rebel" ship battle entrance theme sound sinister.

and also the opposite, how they made the imperial march sound like "good guys" music
@@nerddujugement8334 Well they are the good guys. ;D
LOL, I recorded that bit from da game an' use it for muh cellphone, signaling if I have a new message.
@@TheLambdaTeam If you want the actual MIDI rip to WAV I could do that so you have a clean sound if you want.

This music was so awesome back then and still is today! Love it!!! I hope they so a kind of TIE fighter remake based on the Squadrons engine.
definitely not happening, but you can check out the mod for x-wing alliance it's still visually outdated, obviously..

Makes me want to kneel before the emperor and accept a suicide mission with no wingmen or reinforcements.
And that's exactly what you get all the time. ;-)

one of the best games ever
I always loved the Launch Music. Really pumped me up for the mission. Sad that the remained remake mod for XWA doesnt have it.
It does now, in the hangar

You know, there are some tracks missing in this video, half of the cutscene music arnt here..
Did they use this version for TFTC?

Dunno what soundbank are you using, but for my taste it's lost the essence of the original. Anyway, it's been a good effort and brings good memories.
