In my opinion this aircraft isn't good at 6.3. 6.0 would be better.
La-9 is overall better aircraft, since it turns slightly beter, rolls better, has significantly better guns (20mm SHVAK=worst 20mm in game), has higher rip speed, compreses less and i faster at low alt. I-225 only climb better above around 3k, and is overall better at high/very high altitude. Since most battles (especially jet battles) take place at low alt, La-9 is vastly superior in current meta.
Of course P-51 H is better at almost everything compared to i-225.

At the end it makes no difference, the russians loose 90% of the time in T4 even against ground pounders....(once the craze for the new aircrafts is gone).
Not to mention having to fight mk24s which would throw this thing on its ass harder than stalin sends convicted criminals into tail gunner seats
Unfortunately as of now it looks like it's been nerfed. I've been flying it so much lately that I can confirm it doesn't perform as well as it did in this video.
By the way I find that the I-225 can outturn and outclimb a P-51H. When it first came out (like 3 days after it was released) I had it stock and I seemed to have outperformed planes like P-51H and P-47N at altitudes of 4000 to perhaps even 6000 meters although I don't really remember what did I exactly do or if these exact players were good or not or something like that.
By the way I personally think the I-225 suits the meta a little better just because I don't nowadays face jets so much and because it can easily outperform anything above 5500-6000 meters (including late war Spitfires, J2Ms although I'm not sure about things like P-47Ms. I should probably test them out...)

Now if you go into any dive you lock up and won't hit anything, meaning that its main thing is ruined

first time watching your video, a couple of remarks if u dont mind. Some extras infos would have been useful like energy retention, rip speed, max speed with flaps, even some MEC tips. Second you're flying giving big jerks to the mouse hence loosing energy in the process, you'll be more efficient by smoothing your flying style a bit in that kind a plane.

How is his performance compared to Yak 9ut and la9? not the obvious ones like turn rate, but the speed at low/med?/high alt, dive performance, roll rate, acceleration, climb and things like that. Thanks

i225 in br6.3 must the worst thing gaijin did in 1.81，it must be in br6.0 with la9，the shavk is not as powerful as mg151，even .50cal
i think 6.3 is ok for it
thats the thing tho 50 cals are broken but mg151s are properly modelled for a 20mm with he rounds because everything that isnt a mg151 basically does no dmg and u need more rounds that an mg151
i dont thin your play style is adapted to playing agressive i play aggresive in almost all planes i use and get 3-5 kills a game
ShadowFox first game I get 5 kills the other games I Don’t because jets games can go quicker
hahahah ask daddy Stalin for help he will guide your bullets also using jets as an excuse is kinda bad i get into matches with jets a lot and all you have to do is climb higher than them and dive on em you can most of the time catch them.
