My air RB experience: 1. Decide I should try air RB again 2. Spend 30 boring minutes climbing and positioning 3. Get ganked 4. Rage quit and go back to tanks
That's why I mainly play Air AB. Fighting with several planes at once at less than 500m in my FW-190 is way more fun for me than climbing for half of the battle.

If you want to curb engine overheat I suggest looking into manual engine control, I started using it recently and have seen unimaginable results with many planes
Nice to see more air rb videos. I used to play on PC, at the time I was learning how to energy fight with the low F model 109's and having a lot of fun. Now I'm back playing but on PS4 with a new account, took me forever to get a workable control scheme with access to max pitch and such. Currently grinding through the BF109 B1 Late and relearning everything I've forgotten. Can't wait to get into the E and F models.
Fun fact: While I do play war thunder, I am not very good. However, I have killed tanks with the first American AA tank(Ette?). Those things are suprisingly deadly if you ambush. Once, I was playing on the map with a lot of pipes (I don’t remember the name), and I drove past a fence, with a tank right on the other side. I killed him in less that 5 seconds. S/he must have been surprised, because not a single shot was fired. Still impresive
Do you mind doing a video on your control setup? I'm impressed by your ability to look behind you and still fly the plane precisely. I use the mouse control as well in WT and I don't know how you achieve this effect. Thanks!
first of all, especially in RB, you should do most of your maneuvering with your WASD keys. Sure aiming with mouse is fine. if you hold C, you can move your mouse around without effecting flight. So what you can do is, hold C, look behind you at the enemy plane, then fly your airplane with WASD. That way you can maneuver and look at the enemy plane. Q and E are rudder controls. G and F are gears and flaps. Using all of these buttons, you can fly your plane to save alot more energy than just mouse maneuvers, and do tighter turns etc.

i have that plane and in my opinion it is one of the worst things i have ever flown, If something gets in your tail you are dead because you cant roll or do anything but randomly press keys on the keyboard and hope the guy in your tail gets confused. You can outrun people in a straight line tho but your turning radious is so large that you need to go like 5km from the other guy to safely turn and try to engage him. The guns are also, well terrible not to mention how much it compresses
Russian aircraft are more than good enough as is. They don't need good guns to go with their good climb rate, turn rate, energy retention, level speed, stall characteristic, and damage control.
Fun fact: The factory where Yak planes were made, in 90s they made a real flying saucer "EKIP". Google it, it looks kinda cute, something like this \_^__,_,__^_/

The only instance I beat the vk-107 yak 3 is somewhere a little bit above 8km in my Ta 152 H. Was very lucky that we were flying blind till 7km
Russian 20 mils really do suck. They need a major rework so they dont just spark like 95% of the time.
In the mean time use ground target belts
