A thought about Tearmoon Empire: the humor in it is how the Marie Antionette character _doesn't_ change from being a self-centered, selfish, short-sighted villainess. The humor is how her actions, _driven_ by her fear and selfishness, all "fail upward" and cause everyone around her to think she's a saintess.
Yeah it's true she's thinking all wrong, but i disagree a bit: one smart thing they did was to not kill her directly, she was a prisoner in pretty bad conditions for 3 years, and that changed her. For example when they were in the poor district and she clenched her fist and said something like: It has to be horrible not to be able to satisfy your hunger, she didn't said that to save her head, she was truly sympathetic because she was forced to live that hunger herself, just in the first episode e can see that now she is truly grateful for the food she has, and the same applies in the way she treats her subordinates now. She's a little less spoiled now.
Yuru Camp is an absolute triumph. I love when a show finds the balance between thought-provoking and humorous. It's the perfect blend of lighthearted fun and nuanced character development.

As a manga reader of both Frieren and Apothecary Diaries (and Yuru Camp too as the video also talked about it), I know their potential is great.
Oh yeah Tearmoon Empire needs more attention. I love it they managed to get rid of a lot of problems or stereotypes that comes with this kind of time traveling thing while being wholesome and interesting with the thinking of the main character.
Tristan's probably not enamored of it, but he wants to be polite, which is his mein. But it is on the list at #15, so for those of us who like the show, is a decent enough showing to be happy. And if some people are not happy... Well, THAT'S ANIME!
100 Girlfriends is 1000% a Harem, it is also a Comedy though similar to Gintama. It is additionally one with some of the best manga character writing I've seen in years. Unfortunately, it isn't until Chapter 3 and especially 5 where you see how special this manga is imo. So if you could watch up through Episode 4 (as Chapters 4 and 5 are likely to be combined) I think you might be surprised Arkada. If it doesn't click with you after that then feel free to drop it.

I have been saying this for a long time: Miyazaki is going to die while painting an animation cell. And I don't think he would have it any other way. _Ancient Magus' Bride, Spy X Family,_ and especially _Frieren_ have been my highlights of the season so far and while I don't think the _Undead Unluck_ anime will make it to the manga's truly earthshattering twist, it has been very good so far. I have yet to start _Apothecary Diaries_ but I've heard really good things.
I'm enjoying the pig isekai much more than I thought I would. A cute girl, another fantasy world based off of medieval England or Europe, and a main character with more to him than was immediately apparent. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds.

There's so much good this season! Even leaving out carryovers from summer, we have Tearmoon Empire, I'm in Love with the Villainess, Power of Hope: Precure Full Bloom (gotta give love to the josei), 16bit Sensation, Shy, Stardust Telepath, Frieren, Bullbuster, Protocol:Rain, and I like Migi & Dali so far though I hear the manga loses the plot later on. Not such a fan of Kingdoms of Ruin personally, though. All I have to say is "ow, the edge."
I am also a Huge fan of Laid Back Camp. I re-watch season one every so often. I have the movie, and season two, but both are subbed, and my vision being what it is subbed anime is hard for me to follow. I have season one dubbed, and I think its a good dub. Any ways, I will be waiting for season 3.

Arkada/Tristan, you gotta give 100 Girlfriends a fresh look. This is as much a harem as Nichijo is a Slice of Life. It's comedy, specifically gag comedy and absurdist comedy. This first season will be the most tame; all the girlfriends are more than cliches (they are exaggerations, parodies, deconstructions and/or inversions of tropes and actual characters) and the whole plot breaks over the 4th wall. It's the EPITOME of deconstruction and parody while still being a love letter to the genre.
Apothecary is quite good so far. I'm not completely sure it will ever really evolve beyond a "sickness of the week" format but it's sort of refreshing in how straight forward it is at this point. There isn't some obvious Bigger Mystery being built that distracts from it's great characters (the main character in particular is excellent)
Anyway, my favorite show this season is Dead Mount Death Play, still a shame it doesn't perform too well on the anime chart rankings. Been really loving Frieren too though so it's nice to see it at number 1 spot. As for 100 girlfriends, it's not the best show out there by any stretch, but I do appreciate the fact that it is an actual harem, not "harem" where a guy has 6 different girls interested in him and he never picks any of them. Our guy here picks them all, and that's refreshing change if nothing else

I just finished watching episodes 1 and 2 of MF Ghost. If it isn't a continuation of Initial D, its in the same "Universe" Plus we all know who the surgeon is in episode 2. Plus, come on the kids car has the number 86 on it. And the music is pretty much the same. I love it.
Miyazaki will be buried with a script notes and then some time later the finished movie will appear on a desk somewhere. Death will not stop this man. Nothing can.
When Fire Force was coming out I got excited ny the idea of a firefighting anime, but then was disappointed by the premise of it. Enter Firefighter Diago which I have been enjoying a lot and seems very underrated so far.
This season has so many great anime, and yet I had no doubt Frieren would be #1 because that anime is just on a completely different level. I wasn't really surprised to see I'm in Love with the Villainess that high up either, it's a very solid and highly anticipated anime, and yuri anime have been doing pretty well in the rankings this year. If I remember correctly, Magical Revolution and Gundam both reached the #1 in their respective seasons. Speaking of yuri, this season has been an absolute delight on that front as well. We've already had several good yuri this year, but this season singlehandedly doubled that number. There are of course I'm in Love with the Villainess, Stardust Telepath, and the Vexations of the Shut-In Vampire Princess. Shy also appears to have some yuri elements in it. And on top of that last year's Management of a Novice Alchemist is finally getting an English dub this season. My other favourites this season include the S-Rank Adventurer Daughter anime, Tearmoon Empire, Spy Family, and Dr. Stone. Helck is also a good one, continuing from last season.
It turned out average for me. Tries to do so many things and doesn't do justice with any of them either. We could honestly get 50 episodes worth of show with much better pacing and maybe much better animation. The gore was also unnecessary.
And of course during your month and change of decompression the big Madoka Magica: Walpurgisnacht Rising trailer drops. Any quick textual thoughts on that or any of the other news out of Aniplex's event last month?
I'm a little nervous about the new season of Yuru Camp to be honest, there's a studio change and the art style in the key visuals have all looked like a step down in quality from earlier seasons. And more importantly, there's a new director which is worrying since the direction was a very big part of what elevates it from the source material.
While i am extremely overjoyed with the announcement of Yuru Camp season 3, I'm actually quite worried about the studio and staff changes especially the director of the show. Thankfully the sound director is still the same which means at least the OST are going to be as comfy as previous seasons.
Pretty sure it's an Audio Technica AT2020 cardioid condenser mic, XLR cable version, with a pop filter and shock mount. They usually run about $100 American.

OK... I really hate Bullbuster because it's the EXACT OPPOSITE of Patlabor. Patlabor's cast is an army of barely controllable problem children with exactly three adults (later four) who actually know what they're doing and everyone's breaking rules (and sometimes laws) to get things done despite technically being cops. It's fun because they do get things done all the time while letting their twisted personalities shine. Bullbuster has spent the first four episode NOT GETTING ANYTHING DONE, and everyone is too focused on being the best soto-uchi Japanese they can be instead of brainstorming the craziest technically legal way to do their jobs the way SV2 always does. All the nails get hammered down in Bullbuster. In Patlabor the hammers get nailed down and every unique individual gets their time to shine in the least conformist way possible. Also, Bullbuster simply lacks any of the strategic problem-solving approach to combat that makes Patlabor such a smart show. These idiots just smash up kaiju full frontal.
Harem is a trash genre, so I don't blame anyone who bounces off 100 girlfriends, but after like 3 chapters/episodes, you really get a sense of what it's doing differently that sets it apart. I fucking hate harem because it's a genre about relationships that disrespects the characters' feelings and more often than not stars some spineless dipshit who has nothing to offer a single person, much less multiple people. 100 Girlfriends is great 'cause it doesn't do either of those things and is the only harem I know of that has the balls to just do polyamory instead of 1000 chapters of will-they-wont-they split across half a dozen characters. 100 Girlfriends is the only good harem.

Absolutely no offense intended but you sound like you haven't actually watched 100 Girlfriends, which if you haven't you absolutely should give it an episode or two before giving it any amount of judgement. Any at all. I went in wanting to hate it in spite of the hype and yet I came out of the first episode with really loving it, and the second episode solidified it as one of my favorites of the season. And yes, there will be 100 individual girlfriend characters, without a doubt. Eventually. The manga is at like 26 or 28 now.

While i am extremely overjoyed with the announcement of Yuru Camp season 3, I'm actually quite worried about the studio and staff changes especially the director of the show. Thankfully the sound director is still the same which means at least the OST are going to be as comfy as previous seasons.

OK... I really hate Bullbuster because it's the EXACT OPPOSITE of Patlabor. Patlabor's cast is an army of barely controllable problem children with exactly three adults (later four) who actually know what they're doing and everyone's breaking rules (and sometimes laws) to get things done despite technically being cops. It's fun because they do get things done all the time while letting their twisted personalities shine. Bullbuster has spent the first four episode NOT GETTING ANYTHING DONE, and everyone is too focused on being the best soto-uchi Japanese they can be instead of brainstorming the craziest technically legal way to do their jobs the way SV2 always does. All the nails get hammered down in Bullbuster. In Patlabor the hammers get nailed down and every unique individual gets their time to shine in the least conformist way possible. Also, Bullbuster simply lacks any of the strategic problem-solving approach to combat that makes Patlabor such a smart show. These idiots just smash up kaiju full frontal.
Harem is a trash genre, so I don't blame anyone who bounces off 100 girlfriends, but after like 3 chapters/episodes, you really get a sense of what it's doing differently that sets it apart. I fucking hate harem because it's a genre about relationships that disrespects the characters' feelings and more often than not stars some spineless dipshit who has nothing to offer a single person, much less multiple people. 100 Girlfriends is great 'cause it doesn't do either of those things and is the only harem I know of that has the balls to just do polyamory instead of 1000 chapters of will-they-wont-they split across half a dozen characters.

Absolutely no offense intended but you sound like you haven't actually watched 100 Girlfriends, which if you haven't you absolutely should give it an episode or two before giving it any amount of judgement. Any at all. I went in wanting to hate it in spite of the hype and yet I came out of the first episode with really loving it, and the second episode solidified it as one of my favorites of the season.
And yes, there will be 100 individual girlfriend characters, without a doubt. Eventually. The manga is at like 26 or 28 now.

Waring Kingdom of Ruin is by far the one of the worst manga I have ever read It's not even that fun type of bad, It's just straight up trash and wasted potential.
